Rating was 8.3 few hours ago from fans, passer by and people who are genuinely watching Smile Code. Suddenly, some bunch of losers came here and did mass negative rating and it turned into 7.8.
How did the rating drop in a few hours? Maybe it has to do with another actress’ fans so her drama looks better?…
@ChenShen The problem is not that. They can watch whatever they want. We are not forcing anyone to come and watch Smile Code. The problem is coming here on Smile Code page in mass numbers to give mass low rating and changing the Mdl rating within few hours. This is the problem.
A note for people who think Gu Yi as a part time stand up comedian is not making them laugh :
Real Life Points :- (1) In China, the law requires all the dramas to be reviewed by CSA to get distribution license. One wrong joke and it will lead you and your drama to get banned for eternity. (2) The same wrong joke will get into Weibo Hot List which is like “X (Twitter)” for China and then netizens will start bashing you for stupid reasons.
Drama Points:- (1) Chinese Netizens are saying that GU YI jokes are all funny. So, I’m sure there are some inside jokes that is not getting conveyed through translation. The reason is simple Cultural differences. (2) Moreover, in the drama Shen Yue is still young and being a stand up comedian is just her part time job. Therefore, She cannot make jokes that are on pro level like a full time stand up comedian. They have to make things look realistic.
Conclusion :- At the end of the day. Smile Code is about male lead suffering from Alexithymia and female lead trying to make his life colorful. Definitely not about Stand Up Comedy.

i like the vibes and cinematography but its hard to see at times.
I’m watching from a projector so that I can fully take the advantage of stunning cinematography. The color grading and everything is coming off great. You can watch from a TV too. It’s giving cinematic feels.
