KINGDOM IS GETTING AN ADAPTATION?! holyshit, yessss. i absolutely love the manga (which is still ongoing at 500+chapters).
that's the only one on the list im sure watching, then maybe "I give my first love to you";_; manga was a tear-jerker.

I would still only watch this again if only for them

tragic! >_< they had a pretty intense love, guy really loved her (just like what the first reviewer said, his love for her was so unconditional you could feel it, even through the screen), but she ALSO had a strong desire for power and they were on opposite sides.

the fact that f4 here and shencai is actually around 21 years old, freshman uni age? sigh, asian genes;; i'll be feeling the same thing when next semester comes

Definitely watch this if you need a laugh, i laughed in majority of this; if not every episode lol

Just finished episode 1 and needed to drop by to comment on it, thats how good it was.

I love my historical dramas with quite a bit of heavy emotion so seeing as this was a light hearted and playful drama, i didnt hold much expectations. Damn, a few seconds in and i fell in love lol. I absolutely love the main girl by the end of ep 1! since the plot is about how she devises plans to stay away from the emperor, you can imagine the amount of hilarity that will ensue.She's playful, cheeky and gosh, her antics! she's already deployed 2 of her tricks and i can't wait to see more. shes not the type you'd see to be all innocent and smily like in others, and that attitude ! :') also, the sisterbond with her concubine friends is pretty funny too.
Another thing that prop me to start this was because the main guy, aka, our emperor sorta looks like Ji Chang wook, :D

1> after checking, no wonder their acting is good! I love the main girl, have seen several of her dramas and no wonder emperor looks familiar lol, its Jiro.
2> up to 16/36 and i stil love this drama! its really light hearted, and each episode is loosely connected, they each have their own topics, main romance takes a step back until after ep10 or 15, there is a lot of stories surrounding other characters too, and you get to see the development of relationships between EVERYONE.

Yup- several changes: no extreme bullying, her family isn't dirt poor like the original HanaYD/ manhwa (just commoner family), she is the only child- no brother, university instead of highschool, DMS family is a corporate giant but doesn't own the school, she has a goal of what she wants to do in life, and she has a guy best friend apart from the other girl.
-what stays the same is DMS and SC's key points in romance development.

That card was actually just a challenge- like the F4 are popular for a reason (a card game?)and they apparently get tons of challenges by students so its only if you get issued the joker card then you can verse it out- and only if you lose do you get punished. so she basically just disregarded it

4/48 episodes in and you can definitely tell what a high-budget drama this is (they;ve also said in other interviews they filmed this in 3 countries or so). This drama really has that 21st century makeover adaption feel.

Plot wise, im enjoying it, even though they have changed quite a bit of things- like there's no extreme bullying from other classmates, and the pacing here is pretty fast -
eg-check: kick in face, awkward crash kiss, school break and trip party, 2nd lead and first love conflict- all keypoints in the original HanaYori Dango. I'm a lover of the original Japanese drama and despite this ones drastic pacing, its enjoyable!
Another thing that is different is the F4: they're famous for their own respective talents and there's no F4 card. In this case, Jokers are issued to students who want to challenge them, and you only get punished should you lose the challenge. Setting is university but honestly, the story is pretty directed to a teenage romance drama, really cute ^_^

Also, pretty faces! The F4 here suited the word "flower boys" so much haha. Dylan Wang as our main is childish at heart while our 2nd lead looks the childish part. To me, the most mature out of the 4 of them is playboy casanova- aka, Xi men. The more I watch this, the more I enjoy the chemistry between Dao Mingsi and Shancai; im liking our main girl so far :) The brotherhood between these 4 is still developing but you can tell how close they are so really hoping to see more of it. ++Music is well suited and sounds real nice.

Worth a watch if you like HK dramas with comedy and a great storyline. The cast's acting is on point too.

Is Peter Ho going to be the second lead? O_O im going to have to get use to this, seeing as him and the girl have a 20 years age gap lol. and the fact its with Weilong- who's basically a chick given his age.

Just finished this, and honestly, i wished i started this sooner. It was placed on hold for quite a while. since this was just the movie version, the plot is pretty condensed into it, and that gives a limited amount of time for the characters to really develop.

However, I thoroughly enjoyed angelababy's version of weiwei, it had a more playful character to it that i ended up loving. I just wished there were more scenes of her and xiaonai ;_; i need more of their romance story. Jing boran as xiaonai here didn't disappoint me too ^_^ the best thing was THEIR KISS SCENE! i screamed.

as for the brother-like bonds between Xiaonai and his mates, i much preferred the drama ones.
Music wise- i fell in love with it.
Rewatch? absolutely.

It's better to start this after you know the background story, as majority have said- the story pacing is horrible. you'll end up pretty confused. However what i did like about this was the whole scenery, definitely can tell that its a large scale production, it was so beautiful. another thing was yangyang, his portray of Yehua is pretty exact of how it is in the manhua, his looks even match it exactly. i really loved how he looked with his hair down as a mortal! that stole me. the music was also beautiful. Some of the costumes were slightly exaggerated though.

overall- best thing about this drama was Yangyang, the beautiful scenery, the animations!, the music, their love story (sort of lol)
-worst thing- the story pacing itself, the over-the-top costumes

also don't hold this as high as the drama version, its best not to have any to much expectations of it. I went in like that and enjoyed it okay.

I just saw the trailer for this, yikes. the cgi effects really went all out in this, but they do look really nice. the plot looks like its going to be pretty angsty;_; all im hoping for is a happy ending please, no matter how bad the trailer made it look like its not happening.

1. Feiye's mother ends up dying- she sacrificed herself and jumped off the city gate when the bad guys tried to use her as hostage against Feiye.
2. the junior sister also ends up dying by sacrificing herself to protect the main girl so that Feiye can live.

Just realized that the main girl here was the second lead female in Novoland. Her character in Novoland was pretty melancholic to me, watching her here is like a total 180 degrees change. She really did great here
