I think the reveal is to let Lian get to know Kuea. Kuea is fun and wants to do spontaneous things but doesn't let Lian know because he is so formal. I think by letting Lian get to know him this way, Lian will truly fall in love with Kuea and not see him as a n arranged promise kept for the sake of family.

Agreed! Too much comparisons to this Bl and that BL. I say... 'Damn it, move on! Don't watch and definitely don't rate the series low because of biased assumptions!' I like the effort taken for all series I have watched so far! Some people are just too critical!
I think Sean because he has told Black (who White is pretending to be) that he has changed. He also mentioned that Black (who is actually White) is using his brain more and smiling more. I also think Sean because Black did not care for him and left him to take the fall when they got caught at the university. While White (again acting as Black) is showing more compassion towards him.
