There are some spoilers ahead Go to Youtube and you will find some BL and kissing deleted scenes between wang lu and hai yunfan, l mean you must be blind if you can't see the hints ,and emotionless if you can't feel the strong feelings that the protagonist portrays every time he is with yunfan, his gaze, his gestures, his winks, everything, The end of the first episode was screaming BL ( WANG LU WAS GAZING AT HAI YUNFAN WITH LOVEY DOVEY EYES WHILE THERE WAS A ROMANTIC BACKGROUND MUSIC AND SLOW MOTION OF THEM TOUCHING EACH OTHER AND THIS WAS NOT THE ONLY TIME THAT HAPPENED IN THE ENTIRE SERIES I MEAN COME ONNN) l tell you this is a hidden bromance gem even if the manga , the novel , or the anime aren't, the drama is centered around them, they deleted so many scenes like in the bathtub, or the kabedon, or the kissing scene (Wang lu almost kissed yunfan in his sleep), and the travesti scene of wang lu, they deleted the groping scene of that perverted official, l mean everything is screaming BL and LGBTQ Community, but they changed the plotline to wang lu kissing the master, but it wasn't as intense as his love for yunfan, l mean even his master told him to not cry because of his love going away (Hai Yunfan). This was truly second only to the untamed because of the forced hetero pairing at the end because of china's censorship. Because if they didn't change and deleted some things, we would have never gotten the chance to watch this masterpiece.
This was originally going to be BL but due to China's censorship, they cut many BL scenes like wang lu kissing hai yunfan, but still, they could not erase everything, even though they toned it down to just bromance, the feelings of wang lu to hai were so strong, and each moment, each action,each smile,each wink, each laugh, everything in this drama showed wang lu's love for hai yunfan, even his master noticed that too, damn you CHINA, but still this was a good masterpiece until wang lu kissed his master, but it is ok because in his heart he loves only hai yunfan, and DAMN THAT CLIFFHANGER, I really hope for a second season, l mean they just can't end it there, it was obviously a teaser for a second season, all in all this is my second favorite bl chinese series after The untamed.
