This was a really good movie on how to handle and overcome trauma.Kai's life was really pitiful and it seems he…
Written on the phone - gay p*rn, free gay videos, men's s*x motel Written on the paper - pig, man's breath, sand, belt's sound, smell of blood, sitting on a bench, lying on the ground, relax, just a little more, it feels great inside you
There was a scene in the movie where Mr. Mamiya suddenly mentioned Bunta's death and Hitoshi was surprised when he said that. I assume Mr. Mamiya should not be aware of this matter at that time or maybe he just did it to trigger Hitoshi. In the next scene, Hitoshi insisted that Bunta was killed, but his boss acted like he didn't care about it. Hitoshi punched him in the face, and while he was walking away, his boss argued that Mr. Mamiya is the one protecting their place and that their lives depend on him. From this, we can conclude that Mr. Mamiya was responsible for Bunta's death.
For those who are confused, here is what I understand from the movie.
HITOSHI'S RAPE INCIDENT
- Mr. Mamiya raped Hitoshi.
- Kai pretended to be the culprit so Hitoshi could vent his anger on him. By knowing who the culprit is, he can live without fear.
- Kai pushes him to rap his story so he can vocalize what happened and face the reality.
- The trigger list he made for Hitoshi serves as a constant reminder of the assault. In the movie, it all started while he was "sitting on the bench". So every time he was in that situation, he gets flashback of the assault. But since he frequently encounters those words (sit on the bench) from the trigger list, it prevents him from having flashbacks as he sees everything as it is again.
- When Kai brought Hitoshi to Shota's training ground, his real intention was not to punish Kai from going to Paon but to train him so he can be strong. To convince Hitoshi, he initiated a fight with Shota so he could show him that it is possible to face/escape anyone by learning martial arts.
- When Hitoshi was peeking on the three while having sex, Kai intentionally said the words the real culprit was whispering to Hitoshi on the night of the assault. This is to make him really believe he was the culprit.
- Kai cannot reveal Mr. Mamiya as the real culprit because he supports their turf financially and also gives them protection. Remember when they thank him for helping during the fire incident at their place and for providing subsidy?
- In the end, Mr. Mamiya was still revealed as the culprit by the police, but it took a while since he was a Member of Parliament (legislator). He has connections, I guess.
THE DEATH OF BUNTA
- Mr. Mamiya murdered Bunta.
- There was a scene in the movie where Mr. Mamiya suddenly mentioned Bunta's death and Hitoshi was surprised when he said that. KAI'S TRAGIC LIFE
- Kai was sexually assaulted by Mr. Mamiya when he was young. He ended up working as a prostitute for him in exchange for money and protection.
- Kai happened to be a student of Hitoshi during his internship. He unintentionally discriminated Kai by saying "gay men are disgusting" in front of him. However, it was later revealed Kai has been crushing on Hitoshi since he was in elementary.
- Kai bullied Hitoshi's wife because he was jealous of their relationship. He regrets it in the end.
- It wasn't revealed how Kai got the scar on his face.
THE DEATH OF HITOSHI
- Mr. Mamiya killed Hitoshi. He was covered with bandages in the end which means he survived from burning.
- His obsession with Kai leads him to kill Hitoshi.
ENDING SONG
- The ending song was written by Endo Kenshin himself.
- "Killing him drives me to live." I think he is referring to Mr. Mamiya for messing up his life.
- The best thing that happened to his life is meeting Hitoshi. He realized that despite all the mess, he can still love someone with all of his heart. But then, his life was shattered again, and he won't let go of the person who did it.
- This song uses the same tune as Hitoshi's "rape experience" rap. It's questionable because how could he know that when Hitoshi never shown it to anyone, including him.
When Naoki and Yamashiro's wife were left alone in the room, she told him that Yamashiro was a timid person (lacking in courage to say what he wanted).
While they're having that conversation, Yamashiro goes back to the room and insinuates that he wants an iced coffee. He didn't ask his wife for an iced coffee directly. That's when she whispered, "You see?" to Naoki.
Yamashiro still asked his wife for an iced coffee, but in a polite way.
Naoki has had feelings for his teacher, Yamashiro, since he was in high school. Yamashiro, aware of his feelings, asked Naoki to work for him as his art model for two hours in his house. One day, Yamashiro orders him not to be naughty and kisses him while his wife is nearby.
