I gonna do some guessing here:- if he -assumedly- was 17 the first time he was a senior high, then if he failed passing medical entrance exam multiple time, let's say 3 to 5 times, so his age in the first episode was around 20 to 22. Adding to this the five years he gonna spend in prison, i think in the second ep he'll be around 25 to 27. (And i hope I'm right, if not; im gonna be so embarrassed😭)

Look ma'am, i read your comment a lot and did a lot of thinking but still have the same answer:- it's still matter even though it's unofficial site, especially matter for the international audience Example:- some time ago, there were a video talking about most rated c drama in 2024? The double was in it, because the rating was depending on douban rating, not mdl rating. and the double has 6.6 on douban back than. but the comments were aggressive, saying "where's the double? It has 8.9 on mdl" So a lot of people have already considered mdl their reliable source of dramas' reviews and ratings, maybe some people have considered watching a specific tv series but after watching the rating and reading the reviews they will consider against it. Not all people will check iqiyi or viki because in their mind, those are sites to watch series, not to rating them. But the magic of mdl that it's a site for rating, reviewing and commenting only, not to watch the series. Im so sorry for this long paragraph but i needed to really write this.
The first episode is not the "greatest 1st ep of all the dramas", but it's very good first episode, it gives you a decent buildup and war's acting is such a *chef's kiss* and yin's acting is very okay.
The only major thing that throw me off was the fight between yin and victor 'jack and carbon', god... yin was so bad to the point i was asking "jack, did you really think that you can go to national team with this kind of performance?", or maybe victor was too good? I don't know...
But the first ep is really good, so what's the matter with rating? 6.6? It doesn't make sense
ps:- i said this (The first episode is not the "greatest 1st ep of all the dramas") because i saw a lot of people gave me the vibe of 'it must be perfect or awful, no other choice' so i said this mocking those people
This series is not a BL.They do not even kiss.It is a 3/10 for me.
They don't have to kiss so the series could considered a bl, the most important thing here is how their feelings being portrayed and had been delivered to us.
I don't know why people suddenly talked bad about this drama (maybe there are the people who waited for this drama to finish airing so that they can start it) It's okay if you see this drama is bad or not for you, but let's be honest, this drama is one of the best of 2024, cause 2024 was a sh!t for bl dramas overall.

O.M.G but at the end of the day, everyone has its opinion I watch avenuex after finishing drama, often I get disappointed -really often- like when she did SOKP and I am nobody but i get her points, and sometimes I agreed with some of her reviews like in blossom and the last immortal (btw I respect anyone who like this drama) but at the end, even if I get disappointed for my fav dramas has gotten bad reviews by her, did she change my mind towards those dramas? 99.9% no and I think even lots of people don't change their minds after watching her review, like go see the comments under TS's review, most of them says "TS is really good" so, don't give it a lot thought, don't make yourself angry about something like this

I always thought that after the official announcement, it get fixed here in mdl, not the opposite
