I’m glad I didn’t fall for the hype all these years. I can’t believe yall hyped this up so much 😭😭😭😭 Joo Hyuk was the only reason I sat through all 16 episodes. If you want to skip all the stupid adults acting like middle schoolers nonsense then just start at episode 13. That’s where the all the hype/entertaining/lovey dovey starts which I guess what everybody falls for.
A lot of ppl might not like what I’m about to say lmao, but it’s no better or less than Goblin! It’s damn near literally the same show. Goblin just had well known actors that everybody loved/loves which makes it everybody’s first romantic drama. I think I fast forwarded more through Goblin than I did this. Even though I still liked both. I think I gave this a better rating bc I love Nam Joo Hyuk and he never disappoints and he always makes me cry. The show was silly, predictable, had its few LOL moments and unnecessarily dragged out to make it 16 episodes just like the rest of the fantasy dramas that came out in 2016-18.
Oh and I’m glad they didn’t make CEO Shin turn out to be a bad guy, I think I liked that about this the most
The second episode will probably show if the ml cheated or not. The fl was maybe about to cheat when they see each other at the elevator opening (he was getting out by himself, she was getting on with another man). I don’t think it’s scandalous anymore cause the characters are boring, but I’m going to continue watching to see what’s what

I think the last episodes epilogue is what pissed me off the most (that I loved this soo much) that I can’t stop thinking about BYJ’s security question as NHD being his first love. It was like turning the knife further into my heart 😢😖. Even though we knew from the beginning that they weren’t going to be together. Talk about devastation 😫😭

Then it would be a boring storyline that’s been done countless of times in the joseon and goryreo dynasty period. The age gap is what makes it creative. Because if it was a age gap between a teen princess and young adult man no one would be saying a whole lot because we seen it done an infinite number of times
This was so good! I hate that I now just watched it after 3 years. But I think sometimes for some dramas you have to be at a certain point in your life where you can really embrace it and relate to it fully because of personal growth and this was one of them.
I literally cried every episode. Especially when Do san cried I was bawlinggggg. When Dal mi left him at the train station it was so heart wrenching 😢😭.
I never rewatch dramas I MEAN NEVER but this one I can definitely see my self rewatching in a heartbeat.

I’m talking about the definition of historical dramas in which the genre of the show and many other shows like these are made. And you can Google that if you like. I already said it’s not real lmao and you just reestablished that by saying this is made up. So y’all having a gripe about the age difference in a HISTORICAL DRAMA set in the Joseon dynasty is not WEIRD, I would say CRAZY and shows y’all level of intelligence and maturity.
In these dynasty periods, age gaps like these were very common. Even in the 20th century ppl were getting married to ppl twice their age. I didn’t say it was ok or right. That’s just how things were. If the shows genre was based of any recent time period <1960s then it would be weird because society changed and laws were made in developing countries. I don’t know if you know this but ppl lived differently long before me or you were born.
Have you thought maybe the director wanted to cast the boy who played the CP because he liked his acting and wanted to give him an opportunity?? To be able to show his acting skills and give him a credentials for other roles for the future?? (Regardless of the fact that the whole storyline would have had to be changed if they casted someone older for the whole killing the CP so his younger brother could be CP instead storyline) But oh wait only the small minded and thoughtless opinions of commenters like y’all matter and that’s why he shouldn’t have been given this role???
Which I have explained in the previous comments the whole entire reason why he had to marry someone twice his age in the first place.
