please do not pretend that you only watch dramas where the male lead ask if they can kiss the female lead. 99% of kdrama kisses are initiated without any formal consent and the other party does that stupid shocked pickachu. come on man, this is very disingenuous. and i just had to laugh because i knew if i checked your list it would be crazy and you have BOYS OVER FLOWERS ??? as ONE OF YOUR FAVORITES?? i just assume the people crying about this never had to suffer through the drama that is nethertheless and so i cant take yall seriously fr cuz atleast this ML is more fleshed out than song kang in that drama and lowkey idk if they took a lot of inspo from that drama but a lot of it is so similar to me but they atleast do toxic male lead abit better,
the second male lead is clearly the better choice but he is so much of a bitch and so passive that i have literally no second male lead syndrome at all, its interesting cuz i feel like the writers give the second male lead all these "green flag" traits that we should obviously like more over the red flag traits of the first male lead but i just see it for what it is, a sad attempt at evoking second male lead syndrome instead of making that character fleshed out in any way, i find myself comparing this drama to nethertheless a lot and i will say that second male lead- despite not having as indepth of a backstory potato boy was truly like this respite and breathing space in the crazyness of the main love line [in nethertheless] and in comparison the second male lead in this one just feels like.. meh.. hes doing nothing at all. but just being there as the most obvious plot device and it just annoys me because the writers aint even try.
Also is this male lead toxic? yes! but hes a pretty real depiction of a toxic man, the mummy issues, the self doubt ...insecurites i feel like hes actually written pretty well so im kinda confused by people saying the writing is bad, i mean, its a romcom kdrama with that damn fuzzy fliter over it idk if u were expecting shakespeare or what? i get being bored of toxic male leads but i like a lil toxic male lead if its done right! and the angst??? him in tearss cuz he hurt her? yeah dfkghdjkf sorry i love it shit so good lmao, and he had like one of the best apologies ever?!! like wow. anyways all that to say im enjoying this drama because i like mess and i dont have to think too much while watching this x
if they actually give the ML a good "redemption arc" like show him growing up and overcoming his issues etc this will probably get an 8 from me for doing what nevertheless failed to do lmao that show pmo so bad it could of been great. Also i like that the female lead is strong but also stupid like she not gonna take shit but she will take shit, LOOLi find this depiction so real idk. Crying over ugly man cuz u aint even like ugly man sent me so baddd. and the way she doesnt let her set backs knock her down she will just knock the men down instead. she queen

Nvm part3 dropped and it’s great 😁😁I love my ships , I like the three couples rn but tbh the most established couple is the most boring to me but I enjoy them still . Everyone is moving at different paces but the overall show isn’t boring at all, this my comfort show rn
