It is not romance oriented like most male centric cultivation they are not good at writing romance. They’re even nonexistent so idc about the fl but knowing she is badass it would be good to take an actress with a strong aura to match. In my opinion, we should not worry too much that he will choose one because his choices shifting. Oh I also watched Cheng He Ti Tong which is going to be adapted into a drama i also liked it. This plot could be an interesting script for him indeed. I saw that Cheng Lei and Wang churan are strongly rumored for the adaptation. Frankly, i would love he goes more for Youku dramas over Iqiyi which seems not often the deal. Somewhere i think xk is may he lucky not to have had their drama dont be too sad. They seem to have their favorite and they seem to do things that are not always clear. Then, Iqiyi also has its hits and its misses especially this year these dramas 💀 The only ones that were good are the detective costume or modern thriller. All style no substance for a lot costume drama ❌ Everything is in the visual and the actors imo but i'm totally with you for more platform than only tencent just don’t trust Iqiyi too much.

It is so true he’s so perfect with a sword in the hands. I agree, I would like him to take a quality Xianxia one after so long and cultivation or politics costume wuxia or an detective wuxia with a nice pairing whether male or female. I just not want to see him enchaining only this like many other actors back to back. It’s a good thing that he started to favor serious and non-idol roles because the switch will not be easy later. I even want to see him start making movies. Also i would love to see him in a modern medical or law/justice drama or even a censored BL as long as it doesn't end up shelved. Anyway i want to see him on a lot of thing and my bias telling me he can do slay anything haha . I guess so that they are probably all going for and it would be def quality production. For me too, MLC is one of my favorite ever drama, same for JOL and even EN s1 was so good so it's really what i want for him is the best. I don't want him to settle for any average script or production that just uses him because he deserves better than that. After the renewal of his contract, it seems like he has a more decisive hand rather than being sold for everybody benefit on his projects which is a good thing. It's the kind of role that requires a certain acting aura and xk has so much and more than charisma, let's keep our fingers real crossed for him 🤞🤞
The protagonist mc is so mysterious that to discover who he is you have to be patient. He is lazy, unbothered, handsome, ultra smart type but also someone super simple who doesn't care about worldly things. He doesn't seek attention but he can still attract. He is similar to someone who has already lived a whole life several times in the past, know a lot so who is not interested in what surrounds him. His path to immortality is one of the most relaxed I have seen so far. He considers himself a sword by his words and i can understand, he is definitely a very strong protagonist (overpower i would say) who does not need effort to kill. The narration and the atmosphere are always very calm, faithful to his lax temperament. Even in a moment like murdering, he is super detached but everything he says is just adapted to his temperament. (I don't know if you've already watched The Legend of Shenli? He reminds me a bit of Xinzhi personality without friendly side) He’s pretty much hiding his abilities and take time to finally show up. He’s going to have to play someone older, not easy to love, spiritual, indifferent which act way beyond his age and even more so despite his appearance.
