Yes it's watchable and easy to follow because it's basically a remake. And it's a trilogy that spans two generations from series one (this one) to series two (their kids). The third series is like a thousand years in the future of the first two series. (It's a trilogy with their own story but in the same world)
They can just make the 60 eps. barrier into two seasons. Air 40 and then 20.

Two main couples get together but not much romance. It's mostly story and martial arts. It's the type that has a bit of everything.

I'm on ep. 29 and i'm guessing the hidden grandmaster is shadow because he's been a grandmaster all along but just pretending. Or the grandmaster is pretending to be shadow.

Emperor wants FX to take over the treasury. So he's obviously helping FX to obtain the position. Isn't that normal?

Even though the story is still interesting, so far this season isn't as good as the first. Not many big things or actions have happened. The only big obvious thing we know so far is that the emperor is very much on Fan Xian's side.

I haven't had time to watch this yet. Why do you want my opinion.
