Episode 20s were so boring, nothing happened. Just a bunch of back and forth interactions. 30 starting getting good again though.

This only got good on ep. 14

Good point but it's how they present it. Other high rated dramas also show sixe characters but they were interesting and more well explained I guess.

Luo Mingxi amd Linlan chatting about things that already happened to the main leads, and many other parts that I skipped. But still got to understand the whole story because I only didn't skip scenes involving the two main leads.

Yea the pacing was slow because the there were pointless scenes showing side characters talking about pointless things and doing pointless things that weren't necessary for the story.

Just saw the characters in this. So many identities. This will be a mess. Just hope there is a main male lead.

Lovely ending. She looks better with black hair. If not for so many pointless scenes about side characters doing nothing, this would be rated higher for sure.

Yea overall everything is good. The 8 rating is probably because a lot of parts are useless to the story. Just pointless blabbering that was not needed.

These last 10 episodes are good

Wow I don't understand Han Ye's decision on ep. 28. The whole show he guarantees that he'll only marry Ziyuan. Then finally gets a chance to marry the real Ziyuan but said his duty is what he wants.

Watched 3 episodes. Very good so far.

Nah I'll just skip boring parts and watch their scenes

This isn't a romance. I'm on ep. 34 but they still haven't gotten together yet. Even slow burner romance dramas have the leads being a couple by now.

Watch all of it and you'll get every and enjoy the story.

Since this drama's name is The Longest Promise, I'm guessing the two leads knew each other before this timeline.

The rating should be a 9.

If you haven't seen these three yet you should; Love and Redemption, Ancient Love Poetry, and Endless Love. Ancient Love Poetry is probably more like this one in terms of both the female and male leads being very good smart characters.
