Ok there's definitely chemistry between the leads but I find the drama to be dragging after episode 8. Can't say I'm enjoying it as much as before sadly.
On Here to Heart May 28, 2018
This show could be condensed to 12-16 episodes tbh; 46 was way too long and most episodes served no important purpose. Hard to not just fast forward or even flat out skip half the show. Had high hopes because of the main couple but dam, what a let down - they're basically running in circles until the very last few minutes of the show. Found the 'bad guys' having a better love story than them. Don't recommend starting, and if you unfortunately did, just skip to the last episode to get it over with.

For some reason I wasn't really feeling the first episode. L has definitely improved, but I'm not so sure about…
I kinda understand your opinion about her same expression - particularly when she smiles, it feels kinda emotionless.
On Miss Hammurabi May 22, 2018
Surprisingly after watching the first episode of Lawless Lawyer (LL) and Miss Hammurabi (MH), I found myself liking the first episode of MH more. I haven't watched many dramas with Go Ah Ra, much less if any with L, but the first episode has caught my attention and I'm looking forward to more. Both leads feel relatable but embellished a bit to be more funny.

Only saving grace is the female lead and probably the only character to stay mostly consistent throughout the drama. Well actually, the male lead's family is consistently terrible so there's that. Otherwise, the other characters were all over the place and it didn't make sense. I was disappointed with the ending because it didn't feel realistic and too rushed (I know it's a drama but still). The drama did portray realistic situations especially with the female lead but man, this could have been so much better. Not a drama I would watch again.

Was waiting for all the angst and heartbreak after episode 12 but this took an unexpected turn and not in a good way. Feels like too much fluff and I don't see the point. And something about Joy's smile just irks me as forced in the drama. And her character....man, what happened to her character??? It's hard to find a strong natural connection between TH and SH which detracts from the whole story already. I sure hope all the drama is coming in the next episodes b/c this is going too smooth.

Okay the main cast is definitely eye candy but dam, that revenge plot is so...childish and petty. I can't take this drama seriously half the time xD Also, Choi Soo Ji the character is hella toxic....even though she seems pitiful and 'strong' on the surface. Sometimes her screaming/tantrum puts me off too but not a major flaw for now. And I've never watched Joy act before but I don't think she really pulls off the 'cute' character that well. The whole ramen scene....her 'sweet' voice omg...cringing big time. Nothing impressive so far the first eight episodes, but will keep watching because I secretly can't wait for Eun Tae Hee to find out about the bet. Yes, I need to see all the heartache before I feel satisfied hehe.

to me, this project feels like a therapy for Park Hae Jin. wish they would have changed the entire cast. personally…
I don't disagree with your first point - I'm okay with PHJ being in the movie but a different male lead makes sense too b/c the other 3 main cast are all different. As for OYS, I'm not a fan but I also don't have any major dislike towards her as an actress - just simply 'meh' b/c she's not the worst choice out there. Interesting that you mentioned she's too pretty for this role...b/c I've only thought of her as average compared to most Korean actresses xD I'll have to disagree with you on PKW though, I think he's a fine choice for Baek In Ho's character, but the final judgement can only be made after watching the movie.

I also agree the main cast has an 'overly mature look' to them- but just for Asian standards. Even then, I don't see how this will prevent them from portraying the coming of age theme and figuring out who you are themes. From my own college experience and from what I've seen in the trailer, I can see them pulling off their respective characters. So in the end, I think it's all personal preference and there's nothing wrong with that, but I feel like this whole appearance and age thing is an almost silly reason for the hate.

Thanks for discussing your opinions though! There's really no right or wrong.

Edit: Forgot to add that overall, I found the webtoon to be darker and more serious than what the drama portrayed. And the two main characters themselves are not your normal college students (they're older b/c they took time off from school). So in this sense, I prefer this 'mature' looking cast.
On Cheese in the Trap Mar 2, 2018
After watching the trailer, I still don't see why there's so much hate for a movie that hasn't even been released yet. The first half of the drama version was great, the ending though, is questionable - but overall I think the drama isn't bad for those who didn't read the webtoon. I'm okay with having almost an entirely new cast for the movie, and I'm glad there will be some differences because if not, I might as well watch the drama version again.

As someone who's read the webtoon and watched the drama version, I think the main movie cast actually resembles the webtoon characters more (except maybe Yoo In Young according to the stills and trailer). Of course, this is my personal opinion, but I always envisioned Hong Seol's character as someone who's more mature, and Oh Yeon Seo isn't a bad choice for that. Also, as someone who graduated from college recently with classmates ranging from 18 y/o to 35 y/o, this "older" cast seems quite realistic to me. Just putting my thoughts out there; I know there's a lot of negativity surrounding this movie, which I find unfortunate. Feel free to disagree and comment below your opinions though; I'm honestly curious about all the hate.

I can see how having an older cast doesn't fit in line with the webtoon but I also agree with your comment. As…
Well that's the internet for you. And also, many 13-15 year old teenagers are still 'immature' so best you can do is state your opinion and move along. I personally thought the original cast was great and would have loved them in the movie too but I'm also excited for the new faces and am not gonna judge until I actually see them in character.

You guys are annoying and ageist with this too old shit. The characters are IN COLLEGE, they're not supposed to…
I can see how having an older cast doesn't fit in line with the webtoon but I also agree with your comment. As someone who recently graduated college, I've had classes with several people who were 26 - 35 y/o but never realized until they told me b/c majority of the people in college look mature (at least by junior year). Knowing that, the age factor doesn't really put me off - I'll just imagine the cast to be more 'mature' looking than your average Asian college student. Either way, excited to see the new cast's chemistry!

I'm not sure, but I think I heard Kim Go Eun couldn't be on this film because of her schedule.
Wow, that's pretty shocking that KGE was never offerred the movie role! Although OYS has been acting longer than KGE, I think KGE's got OYS beat in the movies department based on her resume. Regardless, I look forward to the drama with the new leads.

Was there any improvements after? Did it get better or worse?
In my opinion, it got worse. I don't recommend this drama to be honest and that's a shame because it had potential to be different in a good way.

Well, despite the title of the drama, that ending definitely did not sit right with me. I don't know what the director was thinking but this drama took a turn for the worse during the last 10 episodes in my opinion.
On A Love So Beautiful Feb 4, 2018
Like many have already mentioned, this drama resembles Itazura na Kiss but with different twists. Out of all the 'girl chasing boy in a school setting' dramas, this one is the best. Of course there are cliches, but this drama does it right and the leads' chemistry is unbelievably good. Definitely worth giving it a try. If it's not your cup of tea though, just move on.

I'm on episode 4 and have to agree. Not so much her appearance, but the lead actress' expressions and acting remind…
That reminds me, Li Sierra and Dilmurat Dilraba both acted in Pretty Li Hui Zhen (PLHZ). Their acting there wasn't that terrible in my opinion, and Li Sierra definitely did better there than in this drama. Even Dilmurat Dilraba's acting in PLHZ is better than Li Sierra's here xD

Really wanted to like this drama but the female lead actress just didn't deliver. Something about her expressions, whether happy or sad, just seemed off. Also didn't help that I didn't feel the chemistry with the male lead actor. I liked her in some of her other dramas though so hopefully she gets a better character next time.

Watching raw with my limited Chinese knowledge but 24 episodes in and the main couple still isn't together yet. I was intrigued to see the main lead play the 'second lead' and being all anxious/jealous for a few episodes ...but now it's too draggy. If they're not together in the next 3 episodes, this is gonna be dropped.
On Ano ko no, Toriko Jan 12, 2018
Having read the manga, I thought Sugino would have been a better fit for the character Yori (male lead) because he gives off a softer and cuter look. Still interested to see how he'll play Subaru though.

Wow, she resembles the actress Huang Wei Ting in certain angles - almost thought she made a guest appearance in George Hu's drama "Art in Love".
