Moving on to Vegas. In my opinion, Vegas is one of the most complex characters in the series and very interesting…
You're welcome love.
Well you don't have to tell me twice, let's make a VP book and analyse the sh*t out of every character. :')
Thanks, I'm gonna take break now cause my study is giving me a real head ache at the moment, haha. I'm gonna read the last part of your analysis, way more interesting, haha.
People often confuse Bdsm with abuse and its really disturbing because BDSM IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE CONSENSUAL.
Agreed it has nothing to do with abuse. It's something that is pleasuring for both sides and if it's not then they'll stop. It's not just hurting someone one who's not into it. Like in the series unforgotten night. ππππ I still can't get over the first episode. It's the worst I've seen so far and they're making an fool out of bdsm. π
Moving on to Vegas. In my opinion, Vegas is one of the most complex characters in the series and very interesting…
Yess we are almost on the same page indeed. Yeah I loved reading your analysis. You're pointing out a lot of important things about the characters and I like that. I also saw the analysis was longer then I thought cause there's also a part about the two of them. So I will read that one too when I take a break from studying π
I find it very interesting and fun to discuss this with you. π₯°
Moving on to Vegas. In my opinion, Vegas is one of the most complex characters in the series and very interesting…
Alright next feedback. Note: I saw that you also made a analysis about the both of them together. :') So I will look into that too. But first Vegas.
Well first of all I liked your thoughts about the hedgehog. I didn't think of that and I think it symbolizes Vegas very well. As you said when they are in fear or angry they show their spikes, it's also what Vegas is doing.
In my opinion you explained very well where Vegas his behavior is coming from. We're all different people and we all deal with trauma a different way. Only the thing is with Vegas it starts with trauma. I think that makes him not that complex. The main thing about him is not a complex thing when you think about it. Only they way he deals with it makes it more complex. He has indeed many layers, but does he really? He shows an polite person to everyone but somehow they all know that he is not. His feelings are alway getting the best of him and he shows that. He can't control that. The thing is that I felt for him from the beginning. I don't remember which episode it was, I think 2 or 3? It was the scene where he was speaking with his father and his father told him to keep an eye on Porsche. The way Vegas spoke to his father really gave me the chills. I saw a child, because he was speaking in a childish way to his father. He suddenly was small and seeking for acceptance from his father. It gave me major trauma vibes and also it made me sad. His father, who's been through the same thing in my opinion, always thought he was less than his own brother. So he is projecting this feelings towards his own child. Which is really sad but also says a lot about his very own trauma indeed. The strange thing about humans is that they copy behavior. There a lot of people who had been abused by their parents and later doing the same to their own kids. It is really interesting how that works. I work with a lot of traumatized people, so I saw a lot on this subject.
But as you say Vegas is not entirly obying his father. He is also making his own decisions. Also because he is greedy and he wants more, he wants to feel more, he wants to hurt more, he technically wants everyone to suffer as he is suffering. Cause in my opinion his whole existence is based on hurt and suffer. He gets pleasure out of hurting people cause that is main feeling that he has and all he knows. He loves his brother and he takes care of him, but he is not receiving much love himself. There is no one taking care of him . He lost his mother when he was young? I didn't remember that part well. But he is used to do everything on his own. No one protected him and also no one protected him to grow up as he did. He had to deal with all these feelings of not being good enoug and neglect himself. So that he is out of control is not that hard to understand if you ask me. He didn't had any rolmodel. Also his father repeatedly told him that his cousin Kinn was better then him in everything. I understand that he gets frustrated and as you pointed out thats why he is always busy with destroying Kinn in every possible way (without killing him) Just making him suffer. But he only does that because of his father, because of his acceptance, that he will never get.
I love the referring you made about a coin for Pete and Vegas. They truly are the different sides from the coin. It's the first time someone is trying to speak with Vegas on a deeper level. Aksing him how he is, how he feels, if he is hurt. He doesn't know that feeling. People never ask him, people never care. And now there is someone that he tortured, somone that he hurt who is still asking those things. I think he is confused. He is confused that someone can be bright, that someone can be like this and cares about his well being. I think it's strange for him and he maybe is a bit afraid of it. But it's also warm and safe. But he also noticed as he hurt Pete that here is something similair in Pete. There is something dark, something hidden inside of him and he wants Pete to let it out, not to make him a bad person or to change him into himself, but to let him experience pleasure, pain, suffering but also a lot more. If you keep yourself from feeling anything by always just smile and ignore your own feelings you don't get to eperience the good ones too. So Yeah I think they can really help each other to balance everything. Pete needs to show and feel more and Vegas has to look at life differently, brighter.
Well before this is turning into a book, I will stop here. I do understand everything your pointing out and I think your analysis is very on point. :)
Moving on to Vegas. In my opinion, Vegas is one of the most complex characters in the series and very interesting…
Haha, I love it that you had something extra to add to your previous message. Yeah I totally understand what you mean. He is taking his job very serious and he's whole routine exists out of work. But the feelings he has deep inside, he doesnt allow himself to 'let it out'. So yeah I like it that in the next epiode Vegas is telling him to let it out.. It will be a start for him to learn how to expres himself. And you're right they are a good match because he can learn to express and feel his feelings and deepest desires while Vegas can learn how it is to be loved for once and to look at life in a different perspective.
Ahh I really love to discuss this with you, it's nice when people are sharing their thoughts about (in this case) a series. ^^ Oh yeah I will read the Vegas part and give my feedback on that part as welll, if you like that. 'Cause I have a lot to say about Vegas, 'cause there's a lot about him too.
Please PSAEveryone who wanted to give UN a shot PLAESE DON'T π.... ...yeah the acting bye i cannot stand it…
I almost cried because it was really really afwul. I don't know how in the hell they can represent that as BDSM. I was almost angry :') The sounds are weird, I mean there is this action music.. I don't know why they play like almost all the time and why on eart did they pick this actor to be the ML. I just can't with this series.
