This drama is fantastic. It blends comedy with serious moments that really make you reflect on life. It’s the kind of drama that makes you laugh and cry, and in my opinion, those are the best ones.
I liked the first episode, it did a good job introducing the characters and helping us understand the backstory behind each of them. It’s a shame this drama won’t appeal to 50% of the audience, it’s the kind of show you either really love or completely hate; there’s no middle ground.
This comes down to two factors. First, the female lead is decisive. People aren’t used to women being incisive in their opinions, they prefer the same old cheesy, silly melancholy of a passive woman waiting to be saved by the male lead. The second point is that it’s a fantasy romantic comedy: because of the genre, many viewers aren’t used to exaggerated and expressive performances meant to elevate the comedic tone, and instead prefer watching someone with a stiff, emotionless expression.
It's a shame they think that way. I can't wait for episode 2.
Her lines and actions feel a little bit stiff and unnatural. Or forced might be a better description. But character…
Exactly, it’s always the same story, the same formula. She’s completely irritating toward the guy, then something happens and suddenly she becomes nice again, and everything is forgotten both her behavior and her parents’. It’s awful.
I'm loving it, but this teenage character is unlikeable and seems completely pointless. Her competitiveness with the boy is completely frustrating my expectations.
