I think his distain for the cats was MOSTLY bc he hated seeing his mom basically living for a bunch of animals, instead of for the two of them… &/or he was worried she was becoming a crazy cat lady/cat hoarder, yet couldn’t ever properly communicate/articulate that to her without causing a fight. ABSOLUTELY AGREE! Even tho it was quite graphic for a mainstream BLs (which I’m 100% all about btw), it was done in a sexy/sophisticated way that didn’t overshadow the story that’s to come.
