Yup.. I would have loved to see the twins.. And also they literally saved the kingdom from threats both inside and outside.. They deserved a grand wedding.. The audience deserved too..

For sure.. He definitely deserved more screen time and some proper badass fight scenes.. I don’t know why they messed it up on that part.. Romance was obviously the backbone here.. And TXW and her expressions made some scenes really beautiful..

If the drama pulled in someone who never watches these, that says a lot.. They clearly did something right..😅

I don’t think he will do that and I doubt his agency will allow him to either.. They will probably just let things get worse before taking any action..

I guess her next drama to air will be Chasing Dreams right?? But I am most excited for On My Way..

They shouldn’t have overlapped the final battle like that.. It would have worked much better if it was Wei Yan first and then Qi Min or vice versa.. And honestly I think we could have done without that last 15 minutes of the alternate universe or what if timeline.. They could have used that time for the final battle and actually shown the power couple in action.. I mean you build them up as people who can take down an entire squadron on their own and then we barely get to see it?? That just doesn’t make sense..

Yeah.. We keep hearing about his greatness but we don’t really get to witness it.. That was honestly disappointing.. I mean they obviously had enough opportunities.. It felt like they didn’t prioritize his battle scenes at all.. The few he did have looked half cooked and heavily CGI influenced..

Off topic… There is a rumor about ZZY and Li Xian collaborating on a project.. I am really excited to hear more about it and I hope it actually pans out somehow..

Yeah.. It was all over X.. When I saw the ad, I instantly felt they would look really good in a modern drama.. ZZY is one of my favorite actresses, so I obviously wanted her to work with ZLH.. They are both good performers.. Give them a strong script and they would have nailed it.. But as things stand, I don’t think we will get to see them together anytime soon.. I just hope these issues don’t end up affecting their personal relationship..

Like I said he fit the story in his own way and perfectly.. He was underutilized for sure.. He didn’t even have proper battle scenes which was disappointing.. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that the drama was really good.. And hence the ratings and the success..

I also agree with you about what happened with OG.. They downvoted every review, bombarded the ratings with bot accounts and spread so much hate that it was hard to believe that it was his own fans..

Fans go overboard in the name of protecting their favorite and end up creating a ruckus that only ruins their favorite's reputation..

Well… I agree about the toxic fanbase.. But isn’t that the case with several other popular stars as well?? I don’t want to name anyone and start unnecessary fights.. You know they are known for being toxic for a reason.. Anyway I came across several posts on X saying that changing the ML would have made the drama better and that’s what prompted me to share my view..

The drama definitely had its flaws.. There were plenty of things to nitpick but ZLH playing the General wasn’t one of them..

Quite a lot of people seem surprised by how successful this drama has turned out to be.. They can’t figure out why it reached this level of success.. So they start talking about manipulation and stuffs and create issues for stupid reasons.. And it's also because of the frustration that it wasn’t their bias who achieved this kind of success..

It's just insecurity that's driving the narrative..

If the script had actually demanded a rugged, worn out general then the criticism might have made some sense.. But it didnt.. ZLH fit the world of the story well in his own way..

It feels like the whole Foundation General issue is being blown out of proportion.. If the real concern is originality, realism or overemphasis on visuals then shouldn’t that criticism apply more consistently?? No offense but look at the character of Fan Chang Yu, by the end her portrayal as a general felt quite unrealistic.. Both in terms of her rise and the level of strength and power she was shown to have.. If realism is truly the standard people care about, then characters like hers should be part of the conversation too.. Right now it seems targeted.. It feel less about genuine concern and more about who is being targeted.. It just comes across as biased at this point and almost like a targeted attempt at character assassination of Zhang Linghe as his popularity continues to rise..

Why now?? If this has always been a persistent issue why aren’t characters from several other dramas being brought into the discussion?? There are plenty of others.. Yet all I am seeing and hearing is just one name being dragged through the mud...
