Cher made some really good points about their relationship. At first, I cringed a lot at their relationship and with how fast they are moving. But it made me think back to how a lot of baby/new relationships are messy like that. Emotions are all over the place and you take action without thinking twice. I guess that made me not cringe so much. They really need to date for much longer before trying to get married. You forgot about your grandma, Sam? lol
I really love the Cher & Risa scenes! I hope we get to see more of them!
I thought I liked the previous ep better, but I think 10 wins for now. Compared to the previous episodes, the chemistry and interactions between Mon and Sam (NOT Freen & Becky) were more natural. They didn't seem awkward like in the past. I was curious if they were gonna bring Sam's sister back, I'm glad they did! Not sure how I feel about her calling Song "weak".
So far Kirk doesn't seem like the bad guy, I hope it stays that way. I've seen how some other thai dramas are... they should just put g-ma to sleep since she's ruining so many peoples happiness lol
Nop's character development was everything! I'm liking his character more and more compared to the beginning lol
Sigh...I hate that they went the rape route with this. This wasn't rape, and I don't care what anyone says. This…
I totally agree. Plus, Alex was more than drunk. Dude was drugged up, without his consent to it! He just wanted a condom ffs. I really hope Alex and Jean are able to talk things out, because he is really going through it too.
It's interesting seeing all the polaroids fall into place. I really hope Kat will find help, she didn't do anything to get abused. I mean no one deserves it, but you can't force someone to be in a relationship with you. Even though I did like Nim's new gf, they clearly aren't going to work. I'm rooting for Nim and Mollie! I hope they're able to figure things out before Nim gets pregnant. I don't know where I stand with Jean and Alex, but I hope she can at least listen to him and they can work things out - as friends for now. I'm glad Liu and Ew broke up, they don't share any interests. You shouldn't have to change yourself in order for someone to love you or be with you. I hope he's able to find a s/o who supports him and his fantasies. Super excited for the next ep!
Does anyone else feel like the BL couple (Army and Joe) get way too much screen time? I know they the main cast in a way, but compared to everyone else, they have so much time in the eps lol I wanna see more of Ew's storyline!
I love how Kirk told Mon she doesn't have to keep any of his secrets after all that shit happened lol but I guess its better late than never. I'm curious to see how his character will be now, if he will be a villain or an ally.
Props to Becky and Freen for acting their best in GAP, but even Heidi who has the same amount of experience as them (from my knowledge) acts better than the whole cast. I wish we saw more of her character. We finally were introduced to the married couple. I really thought we'd see more of them considering they're in the intro but they were able to read Mon and Sam's relationship so quick despite knowing very little about them 💀
I still enjoyed this weeks ep, the quality is slightly better than the previous episodes. For a second, I thought they forgot about good ole homophobic grandma but looks like these last 3 eps will be a bumpy ride. I hope they're able to wrap it up in one season. Not sure how I'd feel about a possible season 2
I have been quiet up to this moment but after this episode I really need to leave my opinion about this drama.I…
Agreed to everything you've said! I didn't want to be too harsh on their acting bc it seems like they are still new. But how are they able to have natural chemistry out side of the screen, yet in the show it's so... awkward? I'm only watching to "support" the show so we can get more (and BETTER) GL's in the future but it's so hard to watch 80% of the episode. I question whether the director or author are even experienced in certain topics.
"I feel like I can't even fully "ship" them because there hasn't been a lot of romance scenes with them" I agree…
I agree. I keep seeing everyone say how this series is "the best" but I've seen better wlw relationship storylines in thai shows lol I think Freenbecky have amazing chemistry, but sam x mon... ehh. I lowkey wish they writers would just give them the freedom to freestyle and be themselves. Their chemistry on the show would be 10x better.
lol I felt like I was being harsh being annoyed by the friend group, but yeah... they are just really extra and had more scenes then they should've. I feel like only Tee has been good help. Kade annoys me the most. I wish we could see more of Nita. I wonder when Risa and Cher will be introduced.
I honestly feel like episode 8 was the best episode so far. The other episodes have been okay but all over the place. Besides their intimate scene, I liked the set up of talking about being unfamiliar with sex. But drinking enough to actually do the deed? Idk, I don't know why they're rushing their relationship so much. That's one big flaw in this series. I feel like I can't even fully "ship" them because there hasn't been a lot of romance scenes with them. The whole courting phase of the relationship. They got help from their friends and their friends were normal, I don't really like the scenes of the friend group being OTT. They had a lot of sweet moments. It was just nice seeing Sam and Mon build on their relationship. Kirk is so fucking annoying like be a man and STAND UP. All these secrets he has, such a weak character and it made me angry at Mon too. Stop being overly nice. You can be kind but at least put your lover before some dude you aren't super close with. I hope there will be a decent character development.... for the whole main cast lol
I'm glad they were able to make up. I know alot of people began to hate Jiyeon. But honestly, friendships are like this. Especially long term ones. We have small fights and sometimes they're MAJOR fights. I think their bond is just unbeatable. Nothing can break their bond. I liked that part of the ending. It was nice to see them. But... I didn't like the ending overall. They totally rushed Jigoo's relationship. I do prefer the first season more, but the second season definitely hit different themes. I hope we get another season, because a few things were left behind. Why were some characters introduced. Idk, I wasn't satisfied.
I really like this drama so far! I haven't seen alot of Thai dramas, but I'm glad I gave this one a go! There is a comedy factor but I like how informative it is as well. It helps normalize topics and questions regarding sex. All the characters are interesting and fun!
In episode 5, I was lowkey shipping Jean and Kat, but it's nice to see women become friends rather than enemies! I want Nim and Bew to stay together, they're so cute, but I have a feeling this child related subject isn't sitting well with them. Tbh I hate when they bring that theme out in wlw couples. I know it can happen, but I hope they'll be different and have a good outcome. I do still feel some tension between Nim and Mollie.
Ew is so sweet and such a good boyfriend. I hope he can find a better partner that can meet his needs as well!
This was soooo good. It's so nice to see her fighting back. I hope those bullies get the WORST. I binged watched the first season. Can't wait for season 2!
"I feel like there's alot going on in GAP but nothing going on at the same time" exactly my issue with this show.…
Agreed. The hype I got from the very first trailer, doesn't meet the hype of the actual show. What happened to the grandma plot? Will that be pushed in later on? What is the actual point of Nita too? We need less of some characters and more of others tbh. I'm hoping BMB will flow more smoothly.
I'm happy that there is a GL focused thai series but I do hope we can get better qualities ones in the future. Maybe it's because I'm not super familiar with thai dramas but I feel like there's alot going on in GAP but nothing going on at the same time? Plot is messy, characters are too at times. I'm going to still watch and support the show, but I hope we can get more, better GL thai shows in the future.
It would be nice bc it has been hinted often, but with SK and most asian countries, I try not to get my hopes up with these kinds of storylines. I'm curious to see how they wrap it up in two eps
It was so weird and funny seeing a guy version of Jiyeon. Honestly, I can see why people are disliking her character and I doubt we will get a queer storyline between Jigoo and Jiyeon. But there is a different tension between the two. I got a few hints within the last two episodes. Jiyeon said she's not into women, yet she was really effected seeing Jigoo texting and smiling on her phone. She said she doesn't let anyone hit her, yet she let Jigoo slap her (yes she fought back but still). She mentioned how masculine Jigoo is and how alot of girls has a crush on her. In season 1, Jigoo would protect her from creepy guys. They just have a different dynamic compared to Sohee. Putting that aside, these three have been glued together for so long. I don't think they've been able to form good and lasting relations with other people for a while now. Jiyeon doesn't get that her way of protecting her friends is toxic, but I know she wants to keep them in her life too. She wouldn't want to lose them. I was annoyed by her actions, but I can't say I hate her.
Also, I'm not vibing with Woo Ju/Mr. Nice paper here. Something is so odd about him and they way he got upset with Jigoo didn't sit well with him. But I hope he is a good guy. They all deserve to be happy.
What are y'alls thoughts regarding Jiyeon and Jigoo's relationship?
I really love the Cher & Risa scenes! I hope we get to see more of them!
