I'm his new fan. after The Longest Promise :) what an intelligent and versatile actor he is. I'm deeply moved by the hardship he went through. Please support him as he deserves the best. I'm sure he has a lot of success ahead and a lot of amazing stories to tell us. Thank you for your detailed answer :) indeed Xianxia isn't my favourite genre, though, in general, I like quality dramas of any genre, preferably romance with good acting . Recently I've finished "The Longest Promise", isn't it xianxia drama? I was fascinated by acting, story and cg. Shi Ying will remain unsurpassable. Also among my favourite dramas are "Love better than immortality"(brilliant Li Hong Yi, he was 21 there and still managed to express so much depth of feelings, sadness and loneliness ), "Eternal Love", "Love between Fairy and the Devil". Well, I will appreciate if you could suggest some Xianxia drama with good chemistry of main leads:)

Top quality drama. Xiao Zhan's acting deserves highest appraisal. every character written and acted beyond comparison. This drama is genuine gem. I'm not Xiao Zhan's fan but what he does on screen is phenomenal.

Dropped again, time wasted:( I tried to get involved... even for the sake of eye candy leads couldn't follow the storyline. overrated.

Indeed Xu Kai is great actor, his character Fuca Fuheng in Yanxi Palace merits a lot of prise, I was mesmerised by him also in FIYS. as for Ancient Love Poetry - I didn't like this drama, too much suffering as in Immortal Samsara. I can't accept too much sacrifice and suffering, it's not selflessness for me, it's lack of self respect, imho. I'm not into this much specific traditional schemes. Definitely he deserves better scripts with more mature and healthy characters. and please select for him good FLs a s well.

Agree, he is incomparable, brilliant actor. You should watch Love is better than immortality then, he is totally charming there, you wonder how can so young actor create such complex and deep character, how can young person express an ultimate human loneliness that is present in his gaze, it has something very touching and irresistible.

Incredibly happy uplifting drama, definitely my favorite, watched 7 or 8 times, just finished today and want to start again:) Male lead is my ideal type: confident, independent, self-sufficient and playful. please, recommend another dramas with similar vibes.

Oh, I didn't know directors aimed this drama only for internal auditory:) I like the esthetics of c-drama, how quality wuxia dramas depict this unique culture and life of ancient China. but for me this drama is boring and meaningless, I don't get the point. I don't care about ratings as well.

I've read here that MDL is biased, I don't think so, Even though I like main lead actors very much to me it's quite boring drama and I'm gonna drop it second time. Not my cup of tea. No character intensity like Don Fang Cin Cang in LBFAD, no highly intelligent pair like Bai Fengxi and Hei Fengxi in WRTW, both of them - intensity and intelligence in one - Li Bu YI in LLTG. I can't get no satisfaction from this drama. Amazing main leads though.

With all my respect towards Wu Lei and Zhao Lusi it's very slow pacing drama, overextended with so much unnecessary and stupid dialogues. I'm disappointed. there are rare precious moments thanks to very talented ML and FL.

Gorgeous drama! it's a top. Main leads are brilliant, so equal, friends, partners, deeply in love. It's just I'm holding on to the moment of their wedding. and 5 years after. I know the ending. I just don't want to spoil my satisfaction.

The story could be told in 10 episodes. sometimes funny, overall too extended. ML wasn't convincing, couldn't force myself to feel sympathy for him. Though SML was worth of it.

Forever Love. I really liked romance and devotion there, main leads are attractive. Inspirational drama.

Overrated drama, I've dropped it. Just average.
