It's definitely a mixture of both but, I'm leaning more towards cultural. I don't see anyone in my county calling this kind of relationship toxic hahaha. I mean it's my own personal opinion of course but this is a typical college relationship in the states.

I don't see her letting go either. That's why she turned the 2nd ML down or returned the kiss in ep 8. Hell even when he ignored her in the halls she made it clear she wasn't having it lol. But idk the back and forth is nothing new for me to see. So toxic isn't really the word I would use for this relationship. Maybe if there was mental or physical abuse I could understand it a little more.

Idk I personally find these reviews to be hypercritical. This is actually a very enjoyable drama and I normally don't start dramas before they're finished. I found the ML to be very straightforward about his personality but within that still showed his sincerity with whatever love/feeling he did have towards the FL. And the FL was well aware of what she was getting into/what to expect from the ML. Personally didn't find anything toxic about this relationship but I'm from America so this was just a ride in the park for me lol. Love love love all the music selections as well. I would suggest ignoring the reviews and give it a try for yourself it's only 10 ep. With plenty of skin ship you rarely see in Asian dramas.
