A bit slow at first, but later get pretty interesting. This drama is great at exposing the main problems of marriages nowdays. And Tong Dawei is really great actor!! <3
ISWAK is the drama that made me stay in the drama world. I watched all the versions and I like Taiwanese one the best. I think Taiwanese are the best at making dramas based on manga (take MARS for example), so I'm looking forward to this. :D
This drama was kinda boring till the last two episodes (Makio's true self exposed). They should've done the whole drama with that dark thrill, it would be more interesting. I still like Taiwanese version better.
This drama has sweet story and pretty good acting (except maybe Hong Bin, but it's understandable since this is his first main role. And you can see he is giving his best). In my opinion, the only problem this drama has is the bad directing. -_- An unfortunately this destroys the impression.
It was funny all the way and pretty sweet in the end. Everybody in the cast did a great job, especially Wu Chris and Lee Mike (unfortunately so far he only acted in family dramas that are so darn long -_- ). I watched the version with NG segment after every episode which was the best part, so I think that changed my opinion about the drama a lot.

That's great. :D Luckily as a student of Chinese, even partially subbed works for me. But I can understand the agony of the ones waiting for the full subs.
Perfect Music, Story, Actors and Directing. Slow-paced but thrilling.
We just used different terminology to express the same thing. 'Slow-paced but thrilling' = 'slowly escalates to something intense'. I wrote that the drama is perfect, to me it's impossible for 'slow-paced' to mean draggy or boring in this context.
Glad we both like it. :D

Sad and profound from the begging till the end.
"Do you know what is war? To everyone, war is a disaster, no one can put them selves as a bystander."
the 2015 version is much better i think (: i dunno why, but after i watched the first episode of the 2013 version,…
I asked myself that question too, while watching. But I knew she was gonna choose Yi Ahn, it was kinda natural. Although I was hoping that Yi Ahn will end up with Eun Byul, and Tae Kwang with Eun Bi. :)
But I think if it's real life, I would pick Tae Kwang. I kinda like guys with masks and secrets. xD And you? :)

I finished it in 3-day marathon. And my opinion is:
2013 is more about students and they relationship with teachers and story is told from a boy's point of view. Slow-paced with a lot of focus on a psychological state of a person. It was very popular drama at that time, that it even got it's own special. Not to mention rising Won Bin and Jong Suk to stardom.
2015 version is more about relationship between students and the problems they face told from the girl's point of view. Full of mystery and thrills. Although it's a pretty good drama and I like it, it kinda leaves a bad aftertaste... I don't know why exactly... :/

I am about to start 2015 version, so I can't compare. 2013 version doesn't have a romance but a bromance. This drama made Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin famous.
I shipped Ueno Rie i Kimura Shunji till the end. ❤️
And they should put melodrama in a genre section, so people don't get shocked in the end like I did. T_T
If you manage to survive first 12 episodes, then you will like this drama for sure. The last few episodes are really great.
In a way it's similar to Goodbye Solo, cos it shows the real human potential and it's ability to overcome itself.
Glad we both like it. :D

Definitely a recommendation!
