I think the reason why a lot of people are impatient with this arc is that they have been teased by the Dark demon lord ZM, so they want to see him come into action, TBH who doesn't 😍

I think this arc is important as it explains what happened in the past you'll understand the emotions and the decisions taken by every character so you'll have a clearer image of what's happening in the present time.

I think people who criticize binbin's acting skill being stiff don't really understand the character of XXC, he's cold, detached and bear the responsibility of the world so binbin did an excellent job at portraying these traits, as the character of XXC and ability evolve to accept emotions through each episode you can clearly see binbin 's face getting more expressive and less stiff.
