As a cat parent, I love everything related to cats, and this story was so sweet! It's also refreshing to have an older main character! I'll miss all of them!
I can't shake the feeling it was supported to be BL but the creator wasn't brave enough, petition to a second season with Gaku and Kai's romance! / jk 🤣 Jokes aside, I loved this drama, my highlight goes to the characters, you can't help but love them all (I already miss them).
Just to be sure: there's no romance, right? I got super interested because I love Chinese storytelling and investigations, but I'm not into romance (it's okay if it's something minor I can ignore, though).
If you loved Brush Up Life, these short episodes are like little gifts to let the story sink even more deeply in your heart. Imo, the extra content shows us how much every detail from this drama were meticulously thought.
I just love how instead of being the lovey-dovey couple we are able to see how Shiro and Kenji evolve in their relationship step by step, and in this season we had so many moments of Shiro loosing up more, and understanding how much he cares about Kenji. I feel is so unfair people rate this drama lower because of the lack of intimate gestures, but in my point of view this is the true beauty of their dynamic: you don't NEED to see hugging or kissing in order to realize they love each other. Love language isn't always about touching. And as a side note: as an aspec person, I want to believe society realizes that different kinds of relationship are as valid as the "standard romantic" ones. Even if a couple acts differently, if it works for them, if it's what makes then happy, why it should be less than "traditional couples"?
