Everybody is entitled to their opinion :) but i don’t think there is any Chinese historical drama out there that has no flaws. Even the popular ones have scenes that don’t make sense.

I think the father knows but doesn’t want to accept the fact that she isn’t the real daughter because I feel deep down he knows his real daughter is not alive. I think this is the reason why he isn’t investigating even though he has links and power.
