Why did they think a 2 week break would be a good thing for fans? Especially for an episode that has multiple cameras up during the viewing or can be recorded from a computer.

Yeah I totally get it. In that chapter, Tony was thinking of pairing Charlie and Jeff because Charlie asorbed so many people powers. So if He(Charlie Special Alpha) with Jeff(Special Omega) had a kid, then heāll have a lot of powers. However, we know from the novel, that if Charlie dies then all the powers their possible kid would have from Charlie side would disappear.
