JiChu's mother had a much better character, she only wanted her son to be happy. She told Emperor that did not want JiChu to be crown prince. In the end Empress plotted & did so much against JiChu & his mother when they never wanted the crown prince role. Such an irony & so sad... killed an innocent person because of Empress own jealousy and insecurity... sigh....
When this drama was announced with pairing & this poster came out, it was very sad that there were so many bad comments about SongYR, just because people see her as not suitable fit to be paired with LeonZhang...
I agreed that this poster made her look so much younger than ML.... After watching trailer, I realized there is a reason.... as part of the storyline was her Auntie disapproved their ML&FL relationship because he was much older than her. And ML's colleagues beginning pointed out their age gap of 10years. ML's friend also pointed ML is "old".... Moreover FL is only a senior in college, she's suppose to look young.

JY did asked his mother to stop when he initially discovered her wrong doings... but then later he found out the extent of her crimes & evil was too great... and he said he would protect her as afterall she was his mother. The way his mother manipulate him to do as she wants is 😡🤬😠😡🤬
I wouldn't mind both of them dying to be honest. We as viewers feel sad, but the characters are not in pain anymore.…
Yes indeed she gave the story justice... She gave JiChu romance, a love which made him not put his whole focus & goal only on revenge. He became a very likeable character along the way... Their journey of love is 🩵💞💖💘💗

I've watched many C-dramas but also recently learnt this from ZhaoLusi latest drama 😅 it is just abbreviations.... HEA - Happy Ever After BE - Bad Ending - usually means main couple do not end up together, many times one of them dies, or circumstances make it impossible for them to be together...

JY did quite a lot of bad things to help his mother... I guess if JC kills JY now, the novel readers won't get angry with FL. So even if it end with her original ending as in JC overthrow JY & killed him. It is ok.
