I read several comments that afraid or predict there will be love triangle and I just realize that I must quite familiar with Gu Man's work (eventhough I haven't read this drama's novel) because never once I'm thinking there will be love triangle
All I think about when I watched 1-4 is that : ok, this is the painful past that FL must faced, can't wait for the satisfying sweet revenge in the future

Only 1-4, but it feels so satisfying and memorable already
Boss and Me used to be my go to drama if I don't have anything to watch, then came 020 to be my go to drama and then YAMG steal that spot (still rewatch 020 but only few highlights episodes)
Hopefully this one too will become my go to drama

I just read your comment down below, we have the same opinion, while I'm watching ep 1-4, it keeps reminding me of Love 020 and YAMG, really glad that we get to watch another Gu Man's work on screen

I quite enjoyed ep 1-4, especially since we can bingewatched it (thankfully), so eventhough we almost didn't see the ML, I still enjoyed them.
Eventhough FL got that treatment in her last days of college days but although I didn't read the novel, but is Gu Man's novel, I somehow predict, eventhough the FL got this kind of treatment now but she will get that sweet revenge somehow and it will be so satisfying
So I'm looking forward to the next episodes
And until the comments sections dies down from the hate comments and it just fans comments left, I think I should try my best not to read the comment section then

i just finished until ep 4 and want to come here first to see the reactions here before I continue watching but wow the rate is only 8?

yeah, that scene is so hilarious and also when Lord Hanfeng's bodyguard trying to stab JBZ and all just froze when JBZ say in somewhat look like his usual wrath tone of his and then the chaos continue 😅🤣

If I'm not mistaken, the big shot behind Lord Hanfeng is Situ Ling's eldest brother?
And the one sided convo between Lord Hanfeng and the King makes me think that Lord Hanfeng is someone who is not power hungry for himself but rather because he got frustated that his country being a lower realm for so long, but the process of making his country strong is so wrong in many ways, he sacrifice so many innocent people in the process.

My prediction based on ep 16-17 previews and the MV, I think Lord Hanfeng will fallen soon, and Situ Ling and Fu Yue will become the new villain?

So more revelation comes to light in ep 14-15 and from the previews of ep 16-17

I was preparing myself for some more angst in ep 14-15 only to get truly blindsided by them 😄

I think back then, some drama has the 1 ep per day schedule, it usually on Sunday, but most drama is on 2 ep per day schedule.

Yes, cdrama might change the schedule, but I somehow don't have high hopes if is youku 😭 I just hope that Youku will give this drama a happy ending
