I’m worried to death on ep 15 preview, maybe another unintended mistake by DS to assistant director’s father….….omg…
I saw on twitter that theory from knets “Do-hwa's father, who made a mistake in investing because of Doo-sik, got mad and drove the car to Doo-sik and his brother into a truck! His brother died and Dohwa's father seems to be paralyzed.” (Google translate). That will be heart broken
It's become the 9th most-watched Netflix show . . . in the world: https://www.nme.com/en_asia/news/tv/hometown-cha-cha-cha-netflix-chart-most-watched-ninth-in-the-world-3062837?utm_source=hootsuite&utm_medium=&utm_term=&utm_content=&utm_campaign=
I thought it was a fantastic episode! I think we lost some live viewers to the TMA awards..
It competes with SBS and MBC drama the veil and one the woman. Korean loves both dramas, especially one the woman which reached it's record high rating of 13.4% on Friday.
Tough competition due to one the woman and the veil. The rating for one the woman reached the record high yesterday.
HOMCHA airs 30 mins earlier, so it is going to overlap with the other two dramas for 45 mins. Also I read somewhere that MBC plans to air the the veil 10 min early. People tracked the real time rating last week. It did show that the rating for HOMCHA dropped by 2% in the latter part of the episode.
60% of their mistake was in the casting. They probably didn’t expect a relatively unknown actor at the time…
I guess the writter probably " regretted" later to cast KSH. No one expected an unknown 2ML to outshine the two Hanyu stars. I recalled Seon Ho mentioned in one of the interviews that HJP was originally written as an arrogant and annoying character. He worried that no one would like HJP. He was very stressed during the SU filming. You can tell it from one of the 2d1n episodes which made to the headline. I believe Seon Ho must put a lot of thoughts and efforts behind the scene to think how to portray HJP to make him more relatable and multi-dimensional. Soen Ho mentioned that he acted differently for Harmoni vs. DS or DL. What we saw on the screen was a character thant can be arrogant as an investor, a good boy, a mentor,... His acting details made this character so relatable that viewers felt for him. I am curious, if they cast someone else to portray HJP, we probably will not have 2ML syndromes. Kuddos to KSH in portraying such a memorable character. I also want to thank the director for casting KSH. His talent was finally recognized.
