I think the drama team is doing well. My concern is the new actor for Sang Yan, feels like he is wrongly casted.

I love her there too, another great chemistry and acting from both leads.

FYI, the WRTW had many production issues due to producer’s unprofessional conduct so director & screenwriter quit. Amateur director and screenwriter had to finished it. Sadly a seemingly promising drama did not live up to the hype 😢
Tbh this one is brilliant until last 5 eps that was rushed . But to each our own. Take care ❤️

Just disappointed with the drama creators for making unnecessary changes then omitting the impactful scenes that made CSS journey believable and did not highlight most of her talents. Drama also toned down LBY’s passion for Shaoshang but made ML more
swoon-worthy by adding scenes that requires saving CSS taking away her independence.
What I love abt the novel ~ The author is so expressive and has unique style, novel is so captivating. Downside is the google translation, one must persevere. That being said, the series is still very good compared to other recent historicals but it had the making of a timeless masterpiece if it was not rushed. Acting wise, WL and ZLS and the supporting actors really delivered. My advice, watch the drama then read the book afterwards, like others have suggested..enjoy

Yup exactly. Deep thinkers appreciates complex, intelligent plots. While others prefers the same old typical romantic stories with lots of smooches.

We think the same. DITK is my first venture to any cdrama. I fell in love with ZLS then and loved her chemistry with LYS. Amazing how they made it work and so impressed with her emotional maturity at 20ish. Another actor I wish for her is Liu Haoran, his resume is as impressive as WL. Too bad he only make movies and he’s a big coffee.
