Disagree with this opinion . He has a pre-meditated plan for revenge. Then why did he not think that he will further destroy her mentally and emotionally by forcing her to take a leap of faith on him ? He is the more worldly and mature of the two, then does he not practice what he preaches? Of all places that he wants to give her safety, knowing those evil women who fancies him, why is it CSS fault going in to battle unprepared ? He is very conflicted that he doesn’t even deserve CSS . His secretive/manipulative personality is what will kill poor NN in the hell of a palace. She is 15 unsheltered and he is 21 loved by the powerful man in the dynasty. What he offers her is selfish love at this point prior to his revenge.

The other downside it’s Youku. at least now Tencent is trying. ZLS should really change her agency, she is a big star now and needs smart and strong leaderships. Or even hire professional mentors.

Tbh he is better here in my opinion..and his chemistryyyy with ZLS is the best I have seen in Cdrama, must be cos they are the same age and equally talented and their looks complement each other. And not to forget the script and the director who made better use of their talent. I personally came to love WL more cos of ZLS.

First, the novel is abt Bai Fengxi/ Xiyun , refreshingly female centered. However, the screen adaptation shockingly was changed dramatically and made it male-centered making ZLS just a love interest . All for fan service of the very popular ML. In all, the plot became a caricature since it has no direction. This is suppose to be ZLS first ever promised S+ production, but the producer has the audacity to mistreat her by not having the confidence to carry S+ and relied on the ML who can’t even give justice to the revision.
But the ultimate blow is her unprofessional conduct, being romantically involved with the director. They had a big fall out and left the production half-way taking his screenwriter with him. She then can’t find decent director and screenwriter so had to resort to amateurs.
What was suppose to be a blockbuster S+ turned to an unfortunate disaster . Saving grace for her and ZLS, the series was a financial success and did well globally.
It’s a long story but the premise, she should not take her baggage to work cos this can have a domino effect on the careers of hardworking artists . I am so happy XHCL vindicated ZLS 🙏 She really deserves all the love she gets .

ZLS did not deserve what she got from WRTW. It could have ruined her career. Thankfully her fans and Netflix saved the day from what was a disaster. I hope this producer will get the wake up call from XHCL success.
She ( YXP) has her reputation at stake since ZLS is already a success story .
