I had read a comment saying that the protagonist's career would end after this series—a view I don't share—which is why I include those references.

Gangnam Blues (2015)
Kim Rae-won (who worked with Lee Min-ho), filmed sex scenes and continued acting with out problem afterward.

Somebody (2022) Kim Young-kwang. His career didn't end after that series, which also featured sex scenes.

I don't think actors' careers end just because of a drama with sexual content.
If I have something to comment on...this series—like so many others that failed to captivate me or spark my interest as a K-drama viewer—it would be for the slow pacing and some very flat performances... Perhaps the actors felt too much pressure in their roles... I don't know. In any case, I’ll finish watching it. I don't think the low rating reflects the production quality or the overall staging of the series. I've seen K-dramas with ratings of 8.0 or higher that I couldn't even finish because they were nothing but a collection of clichés.

I’m up to episode 20. Focusing solely on the protagonists' relationship (and setting the professional aspect aside for a moment), they really did it. They managed to perfectly portray a "romantic" relationship—spanning six years—rife with misunderstandings, a total lack of communication, insecurity, self-centeredness, possessiveness, arrogance, words fired like bullets with the intent to wound, and a fundamentally weak bond. Because... that was the kind of relationship they wanted to show, right? I end up arguing with the main characters in every single episode; heh, heh, heh.🤭😬
Okay. I got that off my chest.

Up until the end of episode 10, it was an acceptable K-drama... what a frustration! The protagonist can't see beyond her own nose. I watched episode 11 reluctantly because it only reinforced her emotional myopia. Finishing this series will be a rutine. Any ways

Those of you who feel disconnected from the storyline are the real ones who don't have the brain capacity to understand…
Every person is a world unto themselves. Every moment has its own unique characters. The perception of art is subjective.

Although I'm only on episode 5, and I'm trying to keep watching the drama (it has good actors and at first I liked the atmosphere of intrigue and narration),... now I find myself immersed in a sea of rhetoric that discourages me.

Of course I'll watch it to the end. And I didn't judge, I commented.🙂

I started watching it recently ( just first ep) without knowing it was a remake; I realized that after a few minutes. I don't like to compare; I prefer to try to see it as something new. However, My Mister OST was intense and transcendent, and that's so important in a drama, something I haven't felt in this one.

The first few episodes were very entertaining, then a succession of trivial events gave way to the culinary spectacle. The political element didn't spark my interest; it was more of the same: the ambitious concubine, the politician with emperor-like airs... I finished watching the last two episodes out of obligation. End of story... another one. P.S. The acting and production are always top-notch, but the scripts get stuck in the script catalog.

Between laws, court trials, life stories, and delicious food. I enjoyed the series, a drama with a simple, straightforward narrative without soap opera intrigue.

I enjoyed this series. I loved how the male and female protagonists flowed throughout the series, both in the investigations and emotionally. A coherent and consistent thread. There were hilarious and fantastical situations they are part of those generes.

Yesterday I started watching this series on another platform (not iQIYI) and when I watched the first episode on iQIYI I realized they are different, but it's the same story. Episode 1 on "DoramasPrincess," after the intro (it's the same on both platforms), it continues with a time jump of 18 years, in a village where a narrator narrates the story from 18 years ago. On iQIYI, it starts with scenes of clan fighting (apparently). It gives the impression that it's a flashback. The second episode is also different. Does anyone know why these two versions exist? On both platforms, the drama has 40 episodes.

After watching Flourished Peony (which I really liked) watching this drama is quite frustrating. While the first series focuses on women working for their autonomy and going against stigmas and prejudices, the second one seeks to marry women at all costs amidst all kinds of conspiracies. 6/10
