As a chronic pain patient, I do NOT take any narcotics. I suffer everyday. I am sad people are self-medicating their depression, stress, anxiety, etc., with illegal drugs. I take antidepressants. Prescribed by a psychiatrist. I have multiple chronic illnesses. I had to retire early from my career as a high school math teacher. I have a BS degree in mathematics. I have 2 masters degrees. I donāt regret all the hard work. I loved teaching. I do not go to a pain doctor for fear of the STIGMA of being on a narcotic. After many back and neck surgeries due to advanced degenerative disc disease, titanium screws and rods in my back, hours of physical therapy, Iām in terrible pain. I feel sad for the young actor. I feel sad for chronically ill and disabled people who can not get relief for their pain.
