For someone who has been wishing for a car their entire life, I don’t think it’s childish at all. No one in his family has money. No one wants to listen to his business adventures or even remotely help him financially. His mother still keep part of his paycheck I believe. Gu is the only one he knows he actual have money and who’s the first to give Chang Hee something so valuable. Life’s changing for all of them.
