I think for the last part is because when you master the Hwansu level you can control the energy ( that gap about energy and the body that Jang Kang told us in first episode) without hurt anyone. For example Master Lee is a soul shifter for years. With the ice stone if you re not in possession of the stone you will begin to kill people to get energy.
As much as i like this drama , i stopped watching since knowing there will be a season 2 that kind of gave away…
Since the beginning of the drama the director said in the press conference that this is a long story, that the writers want to tell everything and there are many characters and plot twists. The writers told that they want 30 episodes to tell the story they want. Seems like TVN and production divided in two parts for whatever reasons and Korean audience is not used to long drama airing. Understandable.

i agree with you, and well, this story is really about Uk , his son, and Naksu, the assassin mage. But its not just about them, and we have many "older" characters lets say this way. And they even have the romance plot! Its being a good journey.

It really has a lot of info but in the few first episodes you got the names of the main characters and all. You will got it for sure. Im liking it very much, its worth seeing. 😊
