Not necessarily the exact same age. she couldnt know this just looking at the girl. Its better for the soul shifter if the person has around the same age, body and all but its not impossible (explained by Yul). Naksu was in a hurry trying to escape, she find the first young woman in street and it was Mudeok, she was blind so Naksu looked for another young girl, find one and proceed to soul shift. Mudeok was the one who interfered in the soul shift and we dont know exactly why yet.

I dont think its wrong. Naksu and Yul are about the same age. Lets say 24/25 Uk, DangGu and BuYeon about 20/21 ChoYeon about 17/18 or even less ( we are not sure about her age but she is younger than JBY and she seems childish with her father and all).
They never said Yul are the same age as Uk or DangGu. And Yul is also more advanced in studies than DangGu. But they said ( first epi i think) That DangGu walked or talked before Uk. Maybe they grow up together since Park Jin helped rearing Uk.
