Super happy about this, but I am still surprised at the fact that Soompi keeps saying it surpassed Goblin's ratings…
I agree, that's probably why they keep mentioning it. It's weird to me personally that they take into account only one episode, doesn't tell much about the overall popularity.

But the average counts because it means that Goblin had better ratings overall :D I'm not a fan of Goblin just saying that I understand why they are mentioning it more than Reply.
"nationwide, it never managed to overthrow Reply 1988" Obviously not true.
The matter was settled out of court, and no verdict was ever reached which means that she was paid a handsome sum... which she wouldn't accept had she really been raped.
Just one week after making cable network history, “SKY Castle” has outperformed itself once again. Last week, the hit drama surpassed the record set by tvN’s “Goblin” in 2017 to achieve the highest viewership ratings in the history of any Korean cable network, including both dramas and non-drama programs.
On January 26, “SKY Castle” broke its own previous record of 22.3 percent (set by its January 19 episode) and set a new record for the highest viewership ratings in cable network history. According to Nielsen Korea, the penultimate episode of the drama scored an average rating of 23.2 percent nationwide." - Soompi
Female actresses usually get the most hate when a guy is younger. Even a few year age gap will still receive hate.…
LOL so just because I'm not in the noona drama comment sections that means I'm not against them? Just lol Have you read anything I said? My opinion would be the same if the genders were reversed as well.
"But would you have been less creeped out if she were 25 and he 37" Yes, there is a huge world between being 19 and 25. Well, at least for normal people. The mindset of just starting college fresh out of high school cannot compare to mid and late 20s.

I'm close to 30 myself lol and would never date a teenager. Nor do I find noona romance in the same setting cute. But it is creepy - a 30yo dating someone fresh out of high school. That person might be so immature and weird. P. S. What do you mean it's not a generational gap? Lol She is someone who's just finished high school and he is a 30yo man who has a job and should have grown out of any teen behavior. Jesus, you would date a 18 yo boy? That would speak more about your mindset than his.
"JTBC's 'Sky Castle' now has the highest record for non-cable dramas. The drama rated at 22.3% among cable channels, with 24.5% in the metropolitan area. The previous record had been held by 'Goblin's last episode at 20.5%, so 'Sky Castle' has even more to go because it still has two episodes left. The drama had started at 1.7% back in November, and has come a very long way since then."
I'm about a quarter of the way through episode 7. This isn't really grabbing me like everyone's talking about.…
If you're not interested in dark humor and satirical critique of the society but looking for fluff, and Goblin-like romance, then this simply isn't for you.
It's weird to me personally that they take into account only one episode, doesn't tell much about the overall popularity.

Obviously not true.
Goblin - 12.924%
Reply 1988 - 12.43%
I mean, if we're going to be picky xD
