You don't know a person when you start going out with them at first and getting out of a toxic relationship isn't that easy! Also I don't find anything wrong about the timing. If it's true maybe she doesn't want anyone else to be fooled by his fame now. I'm not trying to take anyone's side right now. I like him and I hope the whole thing is a lie.
In the beginning I thought I would like this version much more than the Chinese one but unfortunately it went downhill after the leads got together. Still I enjoyed watching most of the episodes. 8/10 for me.

At the end of ep 11 the ML confessed but they got together in ep 14. They break up in ep 19 and get back together in ep 20. Yes SML gets really annoying near the end. It's different from the Chinese version.
