My very first Asian drama and I liked it very much. I feel nostalgic.
Now that I have watched too many dramas, I can say that the storyline is common.
But it's still one of the best in 2001.
It's a 9.5/10 for me. I should have given it a 10 if not for the child stars. The show started kicking off lively and regain its pace when the adults took place. I'm so glad I did not drop it.
I am sooo into Jo Seung Woo-Lee Yo Won couple. Their electrifying chemistry and rom-com scenes are electrocuting me.
Whoa! I am glad a lot of people liked it. Well, I forced myself and finally completed it. My first impression did change for the worse. It bore me with all the crying till the end. Therefore, it was not for me.
For those who love sweet, pure romance stories, you may like this drama. Many do. :-)
I suggest you watch then judge for your self. There's a big chance you'll be one of the many fans here.
As for me, I have just finished episode 5 and I can't go on any further. I realized that I don't and won't like this drama; that I am just wasting more than 5 hours of my life hoping it would spark interest in me.
The story and the scenes are common. Maybe because I watched many dramas and movies like this already. What kept me going was the 39 y-o uncle's story but I even got tired of it after episode 4. And Ma Se Young, too. She is pretty but her character in this story is annoying.
Therefore I conclude that Plus Nine Boys is not for me. Dropped at episode 5.
I am at episode 3 as of this writing. I have this urge to show how I feel about this drama. It is a very simple romance story. I love the 29 y-o Kang Jin Gu because his personality is warm. Unfortunately, the girl's personality (Ma Se Young) is irritating me. I just don't like girls who act like that. Pardon me, folks who like her character. The romance side of the 19 y-o and 29 y-o guys bore me because it's very typical and predictable. Actually, I am forcing myself to finish it. But I won't drop it yet because I like the story of the 39 y-o uncle.
I dropped it. It's not the story. It's the lead actress. I can't like her, I tried but I really can't. It's like…
I skip-watched. I liked the first half of The Heirs then I found myself forcing to complete it. I liked Park Shin Hye in Heartstrings but I was disappointed in her in The Heirs. I haven't seen Pinocchio yet. I have second thoughts because I read many bad comments about it. Why? Is it worth watching?
I dropped it. It's not the story. It's the lead actress. I can't like her, I tried but I really can't. It's like watching 7th Level Civil Servant again.

But it's still one of the best in 2001.
It was funny but nothing special.

Just saying .....
Hehe
Anyway, it was a 7/10 for me.

PS: I think you, romantics, will like this.
