Oh wow, I didn't even know they made a Strawberry Night movie. I liked the series and specials. And as for Elevator...…
I definitely recommend watching the movie. The movie has me interested in watching the drama and the specials. If you decide to watch Elevator To The Gallows, come back and let me know what you think of it.

Thanks so much for checking out my suggestions

I loved the Strawberry Night specials & TV drama but I just couldn't bring myself to watch the movie because...…
I learned about the drama and the specials while gathering information for this article but I loved the movie so that has me excited to watch everything related to Strawberry Night. If I could find the English editions of the books, I would read those too.

I won't go into detail about the movie but if my mind is thinking right about your "impression", then I would totally recommend you NOT watch the movie because your heart would break and I know that feeling too well when things don't go the way I want :)

Thanks for checking out my suggestions. I love watching Japanese films so writing movie recommendations will prompt me to watch more of them and I am hoping to get more into Chinese films.

Great review @CherryBunny. I am WAY behind on this but I do agree that it feel short because of the script but I also contribute the "supposed" love story. I wish they didn't go that route because it took away from the storyline but since they did go that route, they could have found a better actress as the love interest. That may have made it more believable and easier for the audience to connect with them. The best thing I love about this drama is how they portrayed the mature actors. They weren't your typical mother and father duo who only doted on their kids or were tiger parents wanting to control them. I love the fact that they got involved trying to save their son and would go through holy hell for him and an added bonus was their personal relationship. I am glad they didn't go the normal route of the father not knowing about the mother's past life.

Predictable but overall very enjoyable. But I do have one complaint. The lovebirds spent about 10 minutes talking…
I am glad I wasn't the only one who was thinking this very same thing. I was yelling at the screen "Dummy, you see he just stabbed himself, call an ambulance instead of just looking at him and crying". These Dramas/Movies kill me with the same action over and over.

Thank you for writing this article. I have noticed in this last year that many dramas have touched on the bases of mental illness/disorders and I see that there are a few more starting to air this year. I am excited about the dramas that will be airing soon because I am anxious to how they handle such sensitive subjects. I work with children with mental illness, challenges, and behavioral issues within the educational system and currently working on a Doctorate in child psychology so these subjects always capture my attention. I still consider myself a newbie in Asian Dramas. It's been a year and 8 months so I thank you for giving me some idea of dramas that I can watch that showcase mental illness/disorders esp ST ~ Aka to Shiro no Sousa File. Definitely interested in watching this one.

Now you have me pining for a Seo In Guk & Jung So Min OTP. LOL. I can totally see it:)

Before the departure of Lee Joon from MBLAQ, I thought the MV of the song "WAR" would make a good theme for a movie. The whole assassin falls in love with the intended target starring Lee Joon as the assassin of course.

I love this movie and it further made me appreciate the acting skills of Yang Ik Joon. He blew me away in his performance and then when I learned that this was his film, I am just in awe of him.

Your review of this movie is on point and so appreciated by bringing to light this movie for others. I would recommend everyone to watch this.

I loved Another Parting & Aftermath. I didn't make it through episode 1 of Lee Jun Ki because of the dubbing but after hearing your take on it, I may pick it up again. After School Bokbulbok looks interesting. I will definitely check it out. I love off the wall type dramas

I was a bit wary when I first heard this news but upon hearing about the original screenwriter being the executive producer and also that is it is being aired on a major network, ABC, I am willing to forgo my initial reaction of "Hell Naw" and give it a chance.

I really enjoyed this movie. I have been passing it over for months but with my new found fangirling over Yoo Ah In, I have been wanting to watch ALL the things he has ever been in with a big exception of Fashion King.
This had all the ingredients: comedy, heartache, mischief, fighting, defeat, triumph. Just everything. Each and every character was believable especially the grouchy and mean neighbor. He remains me of an uncle. lol

Great article. You did a great intro into the chemistry. I don't think anyone could really do justice in describing the chemistry level between our two leads. It is clearly something that needs to be experienced first hand.
I am so glad I decided to watch this because it blew all my expectations out of the box and totally took on another meaning right from the first episode.
I especially loved that you hit on the human characteristics of all the characters, If we really took the time to pay attention to each of the characters and their flaws, we could connect to each and everyone of them at some moment of their life.
