Is the end worth all of episodes? I said very YES, since we watch too much "same" ending. And this one is very different. And it was sad Ending? Really not.
It was very very interesting Ending and "mystery" one, to let we guess how it is. (Maybe director could release the half episodes like other drama)
In my opinion, ML didnt dead and save FL at the last scene. They hide somewhere (maybe the help by Meiniang or other 6 Dao)until Wu army arrived and watch the victory of their army. Then exiled to somewhere as FL task for scarlet guard already accomplised. And now, she really follow what ML wants.

In drama, this End is better. But in novel, they never get really along anymore, coz the mother frame SY for traitor in military. It nearly cost SY life. (It made more sense of the end of novel) rather than cdrama only about the promotion.
