Oops! I thought there was going to be 18 eps my bad! XD (thought there’d be one more next week, silly me!)
Funnily enough, I never thought I’d watch it because I’m not really a fan of the rebirth/reincarnation concept - but then gave it a go and fell in love with the characters and their dynamics even if I wasn’t so completely on board with the concept. I would definitely recommend this even if the concept isn’t for you. I’m not saying it was perfect, but some parts of this weren’t for me (concept + crying?) and other parts were (the friendships and dynamics). I probs won’t rewatch but still a decent show :)
I was looking forward to a sweet and adorable ending episode and instead found myself sobbing when I understood (it took half the episode because of the confusing doppelgänger), let’s hope HIStory sticks to happy endings in future, or at least not so sudden and shocking as this was. This last episode felt disjointed to the rest of the series, and ignoring this one episode, the series has been fun and a worthwhile watch.
Also, I don’t know if anyone else prefers their previous writer, but unlike previous HIStory up to and including Trap, I felt that this was not as well written as the series written by Lin Pei Yu - I (for the most part) didn’t develop the same attachment to many of the characters and felt some (Haoting’s Father for example) were not so realistically written and became somewhat 2-dimensional. (Just my opinion, you don’t have to agree)
Does anyone know what happened about the three episodes - was this cancelled or always going to happen? It looked live there would be at least a few more?
This is really random, but after watching The Effect episode 2, that makes this seem like total fluff XD Also really liking the start this series has got off to :)
First of all, I will reserve judgement on Keng's actions. After all, the fame that put him in the spotlight, being…
I totally agree with this review, I get where you’re coming from -I especially agree about Yacht’s character, I was so happy to see him support Shin regardless of what he’s dealing with (and Pramote too).
Okay, episode 1: something felt totally sketchy and off and I couldn’t work out what (you know when it bothers you and you can’t wait to work out why).... episode 2: #(£/+,@%|{¥>§!!!! (nothing could have prepared me for it being THAT sketchy)
So I think I’ll continue with the show but as far as that went for an EPISODE 2 - it was a bit much for me tbh. What happened was NOT OKAY and never will be, however it is just a show and so far it isn’t doing that awful BL thing of romanticising **** (not that all BL do this, but quite a number unfortunately do). So we’ll see how episode 3 goes.
Also : I just noticed “psychological” tag - beginning to make a tiny bit more sense now.
Help! Any ideas on how to NOT feel like a trainwreck at the end of an episode legit it’s because it is so well done... (I am legit a trainwreck right now) and can someone spoil if the ending is happy because if not I need to brace myself!
+ waiting a week is so hard for someone who usually misses currently airing dramas and finds them later! (Anyone else relate?)
