Once again, an actor doesn't have to be 'good' to make a statement. "New is actually a pretty well known actor under Thai youth" -- Plus multiple series he has been in have been a hit, which could've been considered as well.
Sorry but in what way is New capable of delivering great performances?
New is actually a pretty well known actor under Thai youth. Plus, New hasn't done only BL -- Everyone has their own taste, and the author added stuff they thought was right and would be interesting.
For anyone in the comment section who is mini-attacking the writer about including New on the list, please, pay…
People only associate New with BL (because sadly, a lot of people think that Thai drama is only about BL), but there's other stuff he has done as well which they maybe are not thinking about. Plus that New is actually pretty famous in Thailand itself as an actor. (Not attacking you, just also addressing the situation under this post).
How did your Thai drama journey start? - My Thai drama journey started at around early 2016 when SOTUS just released it's first few episodes. Since then I've been watching it, getting into Thai music, and more. And here I am today; Obsessed with Thai music, actress Kitty Chicha being the love of my life and enjoying alot of actors/actresses.
Do you have any tips for the newcomers? - One thing that annoys me ALOT with people that just start out (and sometimes even after watching for a while) think that only BL's matter. Yes, Thailand is the leading Asian country for having BL focused dramas/movies, but that doesn't mean that's all that there is. There is so much more to find besides that little headspace of fetishizing gay men (which some people sadly have, though not everyone ofcourse!). It is perfectly fine to watch BL, but don't let it define who you are as a person, it feels very weird :< Besides that, just enjoy! Thai industry for both music and entertainment is so so chill, especially compared to the Korean industry; swearing, controversial topics, addressing mental health issues etc etc. You can be your true self here!
Do you predominantly watch Thailand’s BLs or Lakorns? I don't have anything I strictly watch, I watch whatever I come across that I like. May it be because it has an actor/actress I like; Something I've heard about alot; Something that looks good.. As long as it's interesting, it will go on my plan to watch!
