Anyways...
I never was into western BL either. it always was cringe for me with all the aggressiveness and them being hot for each other every 2 seconds with the over the top emphasize on them being gay as like to make sure i wont be mistaken. i dont know if it makes sense. i just dont like when smt it's shoved down my throat... that sounded dirty...oh well :))
So yeah... i avoided them fiercely. again, not my cup of tea:D
I got into Asian BL though, so randomly i can't even remember properly. But i know my first BL series was TharnType and from then on it was a fun wild trip :P then,when i got into K-BL, now that was hook line and sinker!
As for this series we're on the page of... Yeah,i guess i went in it with distaste from the beginning knowing it's a UN side story and they changed basically almost everything. But if you dont know and didnt watch UN, i think you can power through... I appreciate your way of thinking, "because they will have worked hard, despite everything."... it's true... and it made me do some thinking about my past reviews about some bad series where i disregarded that the actors worked hard,the story was just shit. I might do some quality assurance on my reviews and give the proper appreciation where it's due :P
It was really fun... maybe i'll see you around again sometime.

I am with you on the chemistry part between Ohm and Fluke. I don't know...i just never felt it as much as everyone was raving about. They still worked well together but that sizzling chemistry is just not there for me to feel it. We might be the odd ones :)) or maybe it's as you said,Fluke is restrained somehow. Make a wish it's on my list,but haven't gotten to it yet... to much on my plate right know and i need to keep my emotional balance in check . watching to many series at the same time takes a toll on you,i'm telling ya :)) Bed friend for example gives me enough of an emotional wild ride to last me for the week,but i'm here for it! We'll have Naughty Babe right after if i'm guessing right by the release of the trailer recently. Combine that with The 8th Sense and Chains of heart and i will need therapy soon enough :)) so yeah...it's going to be a golden BL year and i'm dressed for the ocassion!

Oh yes. Check out....my brain shut that part of my memory off :))) i am the kind of person who doesnt like unfinished business so i watched till the end,but man, the struggle was real! And it's true...it goes with any actor,in any kind of genre...if the script is shit doesnt matter how good of an actor you are you simply cant make it work. I mean, take Oh my sunshine night for example... i was having so much fun watching it only because it was such a freaking mess, i was giggling like a fool at the stupid dialogs and the actors- Ohm,my poor guy. But then... it came 609 Bedtime story and i actually was surprised he actually has facial movement :))) anyways...on 19th of April starts Our sky 2 and i will have my dose of healthy BL right there. One of these days i gotta binge watch Bad Buddy again just to reset my brain and reassure my heart that good stories still exist.

You make so much sense with what you wrote i'm just standing here absolutely speechless :) I agree. but at the same time its a never ending vicious circle,people will always be like this, with double standards and all. And i am as you are... i avoid getting in conversation with this kind of subjects because i'll just end up frustrated and annoyed. So i came to peace with the fact that it won't change so now if i find someone after my heart,i'll get into it and we can talk for days,long ass messages as the wall of China. But otherwise,i say my piece in just a few words and then i'm off. I think it's important to say at least something,so people can make an informed decision based on different opinions,thats why i say it. And yeah.... i treat everything as it is. I mean, I've watched Vincenzo,Unlocked and The glory and i was so into it,but at the end of day when i closed my laptop i was back to my real life well and done. Same with KinnPorche... I liked the chemistry BibleBuild had and i cringed a few times at their violent scenes,i also liked that they had their happy end. But if i see that shit in real life, sirens will be heard in the next minute. That's the whole point,to differentiate fiction from reality and do with it as one pleases. i wrote a previous comment here about why i dropped it at ep 5. If it was just the toxicity and all the violent stuff i would be fine- It's fiction. but the bad acting and the way it was portrayed made it so much worse i couldn't stand it anymore so i was done with it. If someone still likes it and contradicts me...ok fine- your cup of tea was not my cup of tea. we move on! I am not saying though that i am cool with these thai freaking authors and the same stupid toxic trope, but we all need a break from reality and we take what we get. That being said, it is a pleasure to be engaged in this discussion! Thank you :)

I know. so many inconsistencies it makes scream. And its such a pity...could've been the series of the year with such a great plot idea,actors with insane chemistry and visuals. That's why i am so upset,they wasted it!

I agree with you.... dropped this one after ep 5 when i simply couldnt take it anymore, but i never drop a series after 1st episode. so many times i was bored af in the first 1 or 2 ep and then it took such a turn that i got hooked and also i really liked many series that other people bad reviewed. that's why i dont take offense when someone replies to me that i am talking nonsense or whatever...each with their own. you like this one or KP, ok. just dont do that shit in real life.
When it comes to what you said that you rarely see negative comments when it's a female lead,i often saw it the other way around, banishing a series when the FL is treated half maybe even less bad than any Bl toxic couple that the same people go crazy for.
Recently,i saw that A maids revenge appeared on viki and i remembered i saw a lot of negative comments beforehand on youtube(where i watched it myself) and of course on viki people also reviewed bad because of the way the ML treated the FL. Well the story is based somewhere in the 50s first of all,so it wasnt anything out of the ordinary at that time as a female to be thrown around, shaken or verbally abused. And everyone was making a fuss about how weak she is and how can she let him do this and that and how toxic the relationship is... I said it there and i say it here. the same people watched KinnPorche and raved about VegasPete, i mean,really?!? anyways...i absolutely hate double standards.
