Hello I'm back to the comments! I've taken a mini break on this drama and now want to come back to it! I last…
πππ I laughed when you said you left if at episode 5. For me I was hooked from episode 11 towards the end. Yes the ending was perfect, The chemistry was electrifying the kiss scenes was great. There was one episode after the break up that she was just talking and he grabbed her and kissed her, omg I didn't expect it and it blew me away No jealousy from any side. I hope I didn't give too much spoiler π€
i just finished this drama and overall i liked it but thereβs just a few things i would like to say that bothered…
I agree the chemistry between Cui Xingzhou and Liu Miantang - it was truly electrifying! π―β€οΈ. As for the relationship between the emperor and empress, I'm satisfied with how it developed. The emperor's deep love for the female lead (FL) made it believable that he wouldn't easily forget her for someone else. The empress's kind, humble, and lovable nature helped her win his trust and eventually his heart. (If you've been in love before, I know how hard it is to let go of someone you love.) I appreciated how their relationship gradually blossomed into love, thanks to the empress's wonderful character and personality (which I adored!).
Regarding the FL's centuries-long forgiveness of the male lead (ML) for his lies, I expected that outcome. When I started watching, I knew it would happen, and I hoped they'd reconcile later, which they did. You mentioned "because he lied," which was indeed painful. Imagine trusting and loving someone, only to discover they've been deceiving you from the start to achieve their goals - that's heartbreaking! (I'd have dragged it out too if I were in her shoes.) She gave him many chances to reveal the truth, but he didn't. You also mentioned she shouldn't have stabbed him, but considering their long-standing feud, her anger and sense of betrayal were understandable. I loved how the ML responded - he forgave her, showcasing true love! β€οΈ
Lastly, I enjoyed the fighting scene between them, which I had been yearning for! Overall, this was a great series with a perfect ending, unlike many cdramas that leave you with unanswered questions and your imaginations π
OK this was SUPER BORING. Slight romance, slight action... This should have been 15 eps not 40!
I must admit it started slow and boring but it became lively. For me episode 11 towards the end was when I woke up π it became interesting from there
Wow, beautiful! I must admit, this is the first time I've seen a perfect ending in all the cdramas I've watched. Initially, the first 5 episodes felt slow and even boring to me, but I persisted. As I finished each episode, I found myself wanting to know what happened next, and by episode 11, I was hooked! I even felt sad when Cui Xingzhou told Liu Miantang he was leaving for about a month or so - I actually cried in that episode! That's when I knew I had grown invested in the drama. The chemistry between Cui Xingzhou and Liu Miantang was wonderful. What a series! 10/10 rating from me.
I've finished the series and I'm craving for more. This is awesome πΏπ₯π₯β€οΈπ― Ost 10/10 Romance 10/10 Thriller 10/10 Mystery 10/10. Best Cdrama for the year 2024 I don't cry easily but this series broke me I cried on more than 2 episodes most especially episode 28π
