indie rock huh? that's awesome. Japan has a great indie and rock scene. Visual kei basically defines it. you should try listening to it. You might like it. xD
I'd say Rainbows, Daybreak and Scarlet by Alice Nine , Untitled, Pledge and Chizuru by The GazettE and there's other bands that i can't seem to remember. cries.

Hmm. Let's see. Visual kei is actually a style. Elaborate makeup and costumes. The genre of the music is rock. The appearances are drool-worthy ((your bias is showing Jia >.>)) but their voices are pretty good as well. I'll recommend some if you want. ^^

It's one hell of a story. very neatly packaged type. have you seen it? It has Lee Jong Suk from School 2013 which is also one of the reasons i'm watching it. ahahaha
