Lmao, I looked at the recent episode without subs just to make sure if Chilbong will appear... OTL
Did he?? I'm stopping myself (barely) from watching the new episode raw as I wait for it to be subbed at Viki (the subbers are hard at work and it's 49% subbed as of now) XP
The ending of episode 16 was painful to watch. I couldn't watch Ta Hwan's pride break T_T He'd been reduced to nothing in front of everyone while he'd kept his dignity as an Emperor before.
He's like a helpless child so I can't help but feel pity for him. And all of this had to happen in front of Seung-Nyang just to make it worse. He never wanted her to see this side of him that begs and pleads. GAH! The drama :P
This sounds like a drama I've been looking for this year!! yesss just 1 more day! can't wait! P.S. Is it just…
@Ladydevil116 Hahaha This is gorgeous of course XD I meant the one in the teasers. Will see when I start watching the drama. I bet I'll be charmed anyway
LOL the men's expressions while he was playing the geomungo xD while all the girls were like "omoooo wanjeon…
@asianmania31 The whole point was them fawning over the GORYEO king. This drama is like a long, long, long ode to Korea. Ghettoe ^ got it mostly right :P

He ALWAYS looks sexy *dreamy eyes* But I don't think this hairstyle suits him that much (as in: yes, he's hot but I know he can be hotter XP). This style must be "in" now or something because I keep thinking of Seo In Guk's hairstyle in "The Master's Sun" and it's pretty similar.
This drama will finish with the biggest twist ! Everything are done to let viewers trust that Trash will finally…
Yeah, it doesn't make sense for the writer who has been torturing us with un-hints to make it so obvious that Oppa is the husband without even revealing who the husband is in the end. I think she would've paced Na-Jeong/Oppa's romance a little different if only to keep the suspense that she loves so much.
Why propose now? And what happens between 1997 and 2002? That's a good five years in between. So yeah. Chil-Bong hwaiting~
@DBSK exactly~ People are still wondering about the ending, and, while the concept of not knowing how a story might end would be great on paper, it really confuses the watchers in reality. We're like waiting for a bone to be thrown to us-- something, anything.

You just spoke on behalf of all of ChilBongie's fans <3 Yes, let's keep this mentality! XD I might just sink low enough to send hate mail to the writer if I don't get my way bwahahahahaaha
So far, no. It's a little hard to compare the two because they're different on so many levels. It's better to erase Reply 1997 from your brain before watching this or the comparison would just kill you.
OMG now I'm a Chilbongie shipper for sure, but the proposal was so beautiful! But I have this feeling that it…
(Part 2)
He could join the club and be enlisted for 2-3 years in the military and then finish his medical degree after (residency thing) and THEN get married. It also makes sense that he'd be clueless enough to pick a horrible date (when everyone is cheering for the soccer world cup). It's also typical that Na-Jeong's dad would call him ugly (that scene from the wedding) because he always talks nicely about Chil-Bong.
But when it comes to NaBong, it's all murky waters and unclear. I would want him to move on and find someone who loves him if it truly was Oppa but it would be really sad. This is why I'm so torn up about him. I would prefer him over Oppa any day, any time.

Me too! I don't know if this is denial or what but I have the same feeling. Although the hints can pretty much be interpreted in both guys' favor, I still (desperately) think it's Chil-Bong who gets the girl. I was about to write my reasons but there were lots of holes. The writer really messed with our heads (in a bad way) and the (useless) hints can't be even called that.
Also, I still don't get why they'd have medical books on the shelf if they didn't belong to Na-Jeong's husband. Still, people around Na-Jeong keep saying her husband is famous which doesn't make much sense in Oppa's case but works for a baseball player. Famous doctor? Maybe, but it just felt like a hint for Chil-Bong.
Still, the "how" of the way things would play out if it really was Chil-Bong is the real question. The path is now easy to see for the Na-Jeong/Trash couple. It's all falling to pieces. (Part 1)
I'm still keeping the hope for NaBong to happen, though even if it did it would be unsatisfying. I mean, there are only 4 episodes left. I'm so disappointed in how everything is being executed. I preferred Oppa at the beginning and saw Chil-Bong as the interloper but there was this period when Trash was being all annoying and dragging his feet about liking Na-Jeong that Chil-Bong got to shine through.
And now he's been absent for a couple of episodes and I'm just pissed off. So because he doesn't serve your purpose anymore, you get rid of him?
And although I understood that going to the military for three/two years is part of a Korean man's life, was it truly necessary to send them all like this? I miss how everybody used to hang out together. Their house is pretty much empty compared to before and I missed that.

Hahahahahaha I hate watching embarrassing situations...too...painful.

This links you to the page before the last. Be careful of spoilers if you haven't watched all episodes aired.
