People will probably be surprised by the slow pace and write some negative comments in here, I can already call it. But it will be an amazing rewarding drama to watch. Nothing can go wrong with the writer of My Mister.

I think we should all just agree that most countries did terrible things during war. War creates bad men, and it will never be forgotten. What we have to do now when literally everyone who did the bad things, are dead - is to move on.

The "sincere apology" is just politics at this point. You should check up how much money both China and Korea get from Japan every year.
Again, now its sounds like I am pro japan. I am half korean myself, half japanese. I just dont think its needed to heat up the bad past anymore, lets just mvoe on. But in truth both normal korean and japanese people are moving on, korean stuff is extremely popular in Japan, things like kpop, korean food etc are everything young japanese people are talking about nowadays, completely obsessed by it. Koreans liking Japan are also increasing, espcially young. Also if you live in Korea you will see commericals for japanese beer etc all the time haha, it is seen as a high quality premium product.

However! Peace to everyone.

This drama was so weird for me. Like the first couple of eps were SO intriguing, I was literally GLUED to the screen - 10 out of 10. Then it kind of lost its steam halfway through with some uninteresting side plots and slow pace - then the series suddenly, literally out of nowhere ends with a questionable open ending. Hm... =/

No one is erasing anything. The people today have nothing to do with it though and its them who have to take the hit, to be portrayed as sadistic devils. I have lived in China, Korea and Japan. And out of all of them the japanese people are the most peaceful, chinese and korean people in general have much shorter temper and often make scenes in public areas, etc.
However history can never be erased, and it never won't be, don't worry.

No matter how many trolls there are on MDL, if it ultimately is a good drama it will end up a fair rating, please do not worry.

What they react on is that this series is portraying the japanese as humanity's worst enemy, in year 2022. Most countries did terrible things during war including USA, Germany, Russia, Japan etc, but all of those people are basically dead today. Today's japanese people are completely normal people, some of the most peaceful people on the planet actually. That these people who haven't done anything bad, time after time get "attacked" by Korea in this way, is what they are reacting to.

That they haven't "apologized" properly is all politics, it should be seperated from the life of noormal people. Normal japanese people and normal korean people are pretty similiar, they could be best friends instead of fighting about the past. I hope there is a bright future for both countries.

You should check out some documentaries on yotube about suicide in japan and south korea. You won't believe your eyes. Sad stuff.

It can be common. Countries such as Japan and Korea are much darker societies than some of you might know. There is a reason why the suicide rates are so high, even small kids commit suicide.

Ya it obviously should have ended after the serial murder case, then maybe one extra ep to take down "the evil chairman", not 6... The second half was so dragged out.

Solid opening episode! The effects were cool too! Hope its not like in many other sci-fi korean dramas where they use up most of the effect budget in the first ep.
Looking forward to second ep!
