The investigation cases and the main mystery seem intriguing and not bad, but they added family politics and since now in historical Cdramas we are indulged by tons of perfect or charismatic MLs, the ML here seems weak and becomes unlikable. But if you have patience for character growth maybe the drama is tolerable for you.

No... I wait until there is a good sub. For detective/crime/mystery genre, I need to know the details of the convo so good sub is needed. If the drama is romance, no need of good sub cos I usually already guess the plot based on the usual tropes 😂

Thanks for your review. I almost didn't want to watch it cos I saw another poster with ML and 3 women and I personally hate the harem (and reverse harem) trope for the main couples. Thankfully you wrote the harem part is hilarious and after I watched it I don't see it bad and the ending twist is nice. However, I'm confused probably you can enlighten me. In Ep 18 when Chen Zhuo took Mei Ying to his humble room and she saw a bunch of pictures of hers and he said "Of course, have you seen a kidnapper who doesn't do his prior works on the target before kidnapping?" then they kissed and slept together. I was confused cos Chen Zhuo never kidnapped Mei Ying before. Then Ep 19 she was kidnapped and drugged by Chen Yuo's lackey! Don't tell me she slept with the wrong person... 😬

Somehow... the leading actress resembles Yang Mi.

So I read the info on this drama in Korean and google translated it... Gong Ryong name is translated to "Dinosaur"... 😆😆😆
