Yeah... I'm kinda disappointed when they make BH has a feeling for SX, it's not like her relationship with HC is not complicated already. But I guess that's probably from the novel? It seems like it is SD's plan pretending him being kidnapped forcing SX to lie to HC being a spy. Remember when SD gets hold of the magic umbrella that is the communication tool between HC and BH? And you see his mischievous smile? He wants to break the bond between his sister and HC. My guess is he wants to save his sister's from broken heart if they go back to modern life, since HC is from parallel world. In the past he always interfered with his sister's love life anyways.

Another thing to add to Zomary's explanation is: she has to 'dump' her real brother cos he is impostor of the real Devil Lord Qiu Ping who in reality doesn't have any sister. No body in Devil Sect can find out she and Devil Lord are real brother and sister.
