Sorta too bad Lee Soo Hyuk doesn't have the main role, he def has that vampire vibe.
True, when I first heard that they'll make a vampire drama the first thought I had back then "Oh, LSH is perfect for this role" and I was expecting to choose him either in a main role or a supporting one. He has that vampire vibe for sure as you've said. ;) They didn't make a mistake when they chose LJK for a main role, cause based on a teasers he's definitely gonna make this drama work. ;)
I gues I was expecting too much. Thruthfully, I was enjoying in the beginning, but later it all became to cliche, too many unreasonable and stupid twists, everything was just going into circles. What I loved the most was Qi Ji, well I can say that he stole the show for me. He was bad to the core and bad till the end, he didn't change and that was the most realistic thing in this drama, cause people don't change that easily. He was one hell of villain and I want to see this sexy man more and more in a main roles.
HXM was amazing as well - badass, but with pure and soft heart. Plus, he is really a macho man. ;)
I didn't felt any characters devolpment, everything was so quickly packed up in the end, no space to feel for some character. Also, I was seriously iritated how the story focused on love triangle between brothers Xiang and Ming Zhu, half of a drama went there. Most of the time I felt like she was the main character and that was not really good. :P
I wanted to give this drama a higher rating but it was just a no. I really DO love 30's setting, all that great costumes, action, even chemistry was REALLY good, but story as a story was a no. My opinion is that with such a great idea and great actors they could've made it better.
Good movie. Started slow, but picked up and the story was told well although I wish there was more depth, but all in all I can't say that I didn't enjoy. Gangsters and bodboys are my guilty pleasure hehe ;)
I truly enjoyed! I didn't have high expectations when I read what it is about, but it totally surprised me in a very, very positive way. I loved how dark and twisted this was, cruel, but real, but what I loved the most was the great characters' develompent. Every character had a choice to make, will they go to the right path and fight for themselves, or go to hell where everything is dark and full of lies. Also, mom is the most beautiful creature on the EARTH and this drama shows that, how much can mother go for her own child, even if it means death. KHS nailed it, she looks really young despite her age and it totally fitted like a highschooler. KYJ, damn I swear that girl is sooo much talanted that I see a huge luxury future ahead of her. Oh the one that stole my heart was definitely Ji Soo, even though this is my first time seeing him, he was absolutely amazing. As I said he stole the show. ;)
Drama definitely worth my time and I really, really enjoyed it!
Splending drama! Why do I love OCN? Because they friggin' bring us quality dramas that are worth to be remembered for!
Excellent cast, Bo Ah is one pretty girl and definitely a talented actress and I do hope to see more of her in a future. KKW and PHS were brilliant, they can really bring emotions, make their characters alive and I was so enjoying watching them. I loved how they explained that famous word "justice" or should I say "injustice" which became really common in our everyday lives. It sure makes me think deeply about the people and world nowday. Everything else would be needless to say. ;)
I will miss that awesome trio!
ps. Season 2 i sooo loudly shouting xD
Oh my FEELS!!!! I keep replaying and replaying the last scene (of ep 8). What a perfect emotions, scenery, dialogues, everything...
"I'm still yours. Until you die.. I'm yours."
ps. I want to kill that bitch Ji Won, but she was actually helpful in this episode. Thanks to her, Geon Woo knows the truth. She fooled her own self. :P
I have to admit, it DID give me a lot of feels and that's why I couldn't rate it lower than this. (I'll maybe higher my score later). I was seriously enjoying it, crying, laughing and felt excited throughout this drama. It may be not a masterpiece, but for me it'll always have a special place in my heart.
But, I have to say that JKH definitely stole the whole drama, he was FANTASTIC. Even that word is too small for him. And I'll say it once again: the female lead's choice was perfect for me. She is a natural beauty and a natural talent. In fact excellent choice of the whole crew!
