I think for TSJ it must have been devastating when he realized that his "friends" and "admirers" were not his real "friends" and "admirers". He finally saw their true colours when he was at his lowest. His "friends" and "admirers" turn away from what they saw as a downtrodden beggar who was asking for help. He realised these people were "there for him" because of his wealth and status and not there because of TSJ the person. He actually has no real friends and admirers. Yes, TSJ had it good before, but seeing the true colours of people he thought he knew probably ate him alive with disappointment. Betrayal 1.
At the same time as Hou, TSJ found out the secret that his brother was a bus-tart child born of his father's infidelity. He might have understood Hou's motivations to torment him because of how he was treated by the family, but Hou's brutality (which left TSJ lame, scared both mentally and physically and in constant pain) was the last thing he expected from someone he looked up to since he was young. Betrayal 2.
And don't forget what grandma did to her "favourite" grandchild, forcing him to be with FFYY via the most devious way, using him like a pawn, when he had repeatedly said no. Perhaps if he had known, he might have grown some 🥜 and eloped with XY and come back pregnant and declared her main wife and be done with it. XY might have preferred it this way as she is not one for big ceremonies and pomp, just a simple ceremony would do. The reason he did not do so was probably a deep sense of filial piety to his grandma and not wanting to upset her. Big mistake on his part. Betrayal 3.

I love the happy scenes / times when Jing came over to stay at the ChenRong mansion together with FL, XY and XiaoYao. From the way FL handled the fireballs, he is definitely a star soccer player in another multiverse. LOL ⚽
I think XiaoYao is so precious. She is of high status, but she has never once looked down upon Jing despite him being a broken man and encouraged him to play music again, kissing his scared knee, touching the scars on his wrist. Such sweet tender moments. 🥰🥰
